AD | 7 Top Gift Ideas for Kids of all Ages with Wicked Uncle

In my family, we have children aged from 6mths all the way up to teenage years. So when it comes to occasions such as birthdays and Christmas, we have a wide age-range of children to buy for. With so many children with an array of favourite toys to adore, throughout this post, I will share ideas such as the best dinosaur gifts for three year olds right up to creativity gift ideas for 14 year olds and beyond. So, throughout this post, I am going to share 7 of the top gift ideas for children that can be bought by cool Parents, Wicked Uncles or Super Grandparents alike!

1. Step by Step Drawing School, perfect for ages 3 & up!

Ever since I was little, I loved to draw. I was very lucky and had {and still have} quite a talented Dad who could draw impressively well. And that skill that he passed onto me, I have passed on to my own kids, my daughters especially. I think any child learning to draw is so exciting, the possibilities are endless whenever the pencil hits the paper.

This is way my number 2 top toy from Wicked Uncle is this Step by Step Drawing school! Your child can learn to draw fun animal doodles the easy ways with helpful step by step puzzle pieces to slot together once you are finished.

This cool toy comes with puzzle pieces to assemble and learn to draw from, with the aid of a white board pen and erasable felt-tip pen. You are even given a stencil to help them get started and before you know it? The stencil will be a thing of the passed and your child will be doodling like the artist they are in no time. In this box, you get 10 different sets of puzzles pieces to slot together. This also means your child will have ten different animals to learn how to draw!

I think this is such a fun gift for any and all occasions because what child doesn’t love to draw!? Right?

2. Cycle Gears Set, perfect for 5yr olds & up!

Another one of my top gifts for any child are kits that allow children to develop their fine motor skills. Such as kits that instruct you to build moveable vehicles, such as this 30 Piece Cycle Gears Set aimed at 5 year olds.

I always bought my children gifts like this when they were younger because they help to develop their fine motor skills which is very important due to being of school age. Developing fine motor skills, such as, grasping, pinching, scissor activities etc aids towards good penmanship and handwriting skills as well as good dexterity. It’s amazing how fun creative building sets are for children of all ages and how they can help child development in more ways than just being fun!

3. The Original Den Kit, aimed at 7yrs & up!

Now, let’s just get one thing perfectly clear! Building a den is very cool, for any age, however, this Build your own Den kit just so happens to be aimed at 7yrs olds and I am obsessed!

Den building is an activity that will never get old and will always bring out the inner child in any grown up. Myself included! This robust den making kit comes with everything you need including a 110cm x 160cm waterproof ground sheet. From there simply adjust your camouflage tarpaulin with the jute rope provided. Hammer in your steel pegs with the wooden mallet provided and you are good to start having some of the best fun imaginable.

Will you be army men hiding from the enemy? Fairies at the bottom of the garden sheltering from the rain? Or perhaps you’ll have a sleepover and read child-friendly ghost stories into the night. Whatever fun you get up to I just love that everything comes in a handy haversack to carry it on in from adventure to adventure.

4. Smart Ball, perfect for all ages who are into football!

Football is and has been a much-loved sport for a very long time now. With a football crazy 9yr old daughter, who just joined a local Girls Football Club recently. This would be the perfect gift for her! If you haven’t realised by now, I am a huge fan of gifts that are educational. As well as gifts that help with child development and honing in on skills that they can excell on. Such as building, drawing and of course, gaining coordination and skill to keep the Smart Ball off the floor.

I have never seen any product like this before and I personally think it is awesome. This Smart Ball counts the “Keepy uppys” as well as flashing everytime your foot connects with the Smart Ball. Just keep in mind that this only goes up to 100 and I say “only” because there are some talented boys & girls out there and can keep it up way passed the 100 mark. As a Mum who could maybe, possibly only keep it up for 3? 100 is insane to me!

How cool to be able to have a “keepy uppy” game with your friends. Aiming to see who can keep it off the ground the longest. Another feature the Smart Ball, is the sensor can be removed to turn it into a normal football. This is one of my favourite gift ideas, for sure!

Just be aware that the ball arrives deflated and requires 2 x LR44 batteries, however these are included for you. And even though football is for all ages, this product is focused at children aged 6yrs and up. However, this obviously depends on their love and skill of football if an earlier age.

5. Jellyfish Tank – Colour Changing & perfect for sensory overload moments!

Now, this colour changing Jellyfish Tank in my opinion, is perfect for kids who have moments of sensory overload. I have a daughter myself who needs to have some time away from the madness of, well, everything. So I get it, if only a little. Kids have so much pressure on their shoulders nowadays, with socialital pressures, exams, friendships and so much more. I find being able to focus on something as beautiful as little life-like jellyfish, floating around in a colour changing tank, would be nothing short of mesmerising.

With proper and safe placement, this is the perfect gift for a child of all ages to help keep them calm in times of chaos. This product lights up in 3 different colours and requires 3 x AAA batteries, which are not included. And just as an extra bit of help, if you have a child who seems overloaded with everything, I have some free mind map printables for children on my blog, if you fancied a look.

6. Smart Book Light

Do you have an avid reader, or a bookworm in the family, if you will? I do! I have a little herd of them {of which I am very proud!} and I think this Smart Book Light is one of the most fun gift ideas for book lovers. This little smart book light only measures 12cm, but hear me out! Do me one thing, pop over to the link above and check out the video and leave me a message in the comments on your thoughts!

I personally think, with the linen book cover and realistic overall look? It looks spellbinding to me. I mean, you open it, just like a book and it magically lights up! It’s also available in urban grey and blush pink.

With this little smart book light is closed? It can be mistaken for any other book. It is USB chargable and once fully charged will provide you with up to 8hrs of illumination. The USB cable is provided with this product and I honestly think is one of the most fun gift ideas, especially for the book lovers of the world. There are larger sizes available through the original product manufacturer, however Wicked Uncle only supplies the 12cm Smart book light.

7. Waboba Wingman – Flying Silicone Disc

For my last gift ideas inspiration, I am sharing this Waboba Wingman! And if you are wondering what that is, because I had never heard of them before either. It is a silicone flying disc that fits easily into your pocket.

Check out the designs on these Waboba Wingman discs, don’t they look fun? According to Wicked Uncle, these discs fly straight and as far as 40 metres, without veering off course! They are made from soft, pliable material, that can fold up easily into your pocket, making it super portable. Loads of fun to bring to the beach, the park or even just in the garden. Designs cannot be picked sadly and are picked at random. However multi-orders will have different designs included {6 in total}.

And there you have it, my top 7 gift ideas from Wicked Uncle that I think are great gift choices for a range of age groups. Please let me know in the comments below which one is your favourite, or if you have one of the items above already, please let me know your thoughts on it!
