FurReal Co-Pilot Chewie from Hasbro | Review

Star Wars has been around, for as long as I can remember. With Star Wars A New Hope coming out way back in 1977 – George Lucas knew he was onto something BIG! Especially with the ever-so-successful sequels, The Empire Strikes Back {1980} and then my personal favourite, Return of the Jedi {1983}.  There are so many great characters, from Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and let’s not forget my favourite duo Han Solo & Chewbacca. Chewbaccas language is pretty identifiable – you literally cannot mistake it! We were recently sent the FurReal Co-Pilot Chewie from Hasbro to review and…

Feisty Pets – Cute & scary cuddling toys | review

“Halloweens coming on & the goose is getting fat! Would you please put a penny in the old man’s hat? If you haven’t got a penny, then a ha’penny will do! If you haven’t got a ha’penny, then God bless you!” This song will forever remind me of Halloween. Back, many moons ago when I was little, dressed in a black bin bag {the witch costume of the mid/ the late 1980s} and carrying my carved turnip. Which, thinking back, were the scariest looking things, ever!  We’re now a good old hop, skip and a massive jump from the mid-eighties era and nowadays,…

ZURU Smashers Series 2 GROSS review

We were recently given the opportunity to review the new Smashers Series 2 collectables from ZURU and if there is one thing my youngest daughter loves, it’s collectables {and things you can smash!}. We were also kindly sent the Sludge bus playset which includes a pretty rank restroom as well as being able to fling smashers into a toilet with two exclusive playset gross characters!  This latest series has a certain GROSS twist, coming up to Halloween and all, they are very fitting! You may remember the Series 1 smashers? They were just plain red smashballs for your children to smash? Well,…

Crate Creatures Surprise Review

I am always on the lookout for new & fun toys to capture my daughter’s imagination. We were kindly sent a Crate Creature surprise recently and Annabelle was so excited to open it up to see who she got. Obviously, it says on the side of the box {and his name on the front} but she didn’t like that ruin the surprise aspect for her. You have to love a 5yr old, right! Because it really is all about the excitement of opening things up.  The crates are pretty fun to open – they come with a chain around the…

Aqua Dragons Deep Sea Habitat | Review

When I was little, I remember sporting a very cool watch that had a bubble on the top and it housed sea monkeys. My friends thought it was the coolest thing and I have to admit, I did too. Nowadays, fast forwarding 30yrs, Aqua Dragons are now the new cool aquatic creature to hatch & grow. Firstly, I want to get it out there that sea monkeys are not Aqua Dragons. What are Aqua Dragons? They are brine shrimp. Much like Sea monkeys, but they are two different genomes of the same species.  It has been quite a few years…

Meccano Rally Racer | Review

When I was little, I loved to build. It was something I got from my Dad because he was forever getting my Brother & I Lego. Which has resulted in my children having the very same Lego, in the same treasure chest that I used to play with. Which is pretty amazing. However, fast forward 30yrs {and some change!} and you can build all sorts nowadays. Which, I personally find quite exciting. It’s like we are trying to programme our children {in a non-robotic kind of way} to fall in love with engineering, building things and making it move. It’s…

Football Games Table from Chad Valley | Review

Football isn’t a sport that I am a particular fan of, but it is something I was raised with. Most of my family support Manchester United, and there are one or two within the family who support, Liverpool. You can imagine the atmosphere when those teams play against each other! It’s much like how my children get on when they play against one another. They were recently sent out a Football Games Table from Chad Valley to enjoy and it’s been a godsend on those rainy afternoons.  This particular football table is perfect for the little ones in the family…

Garden fun with the Little Tikes Builders Bay sand & water table | Review

We have had, what has felt like, the longest Winter imaginable. But then, as if by magic, we had a few days of glorious sunshine – even here in Northern Ireland! So naturally, when the sun comes out we tend to live outside rather than inside. Which is amazing! We have had so much fun in our garden and even more so since we were sent out the Builder’s Bay Sand & Water table from Little Tikes.  Once it arrived, I think I underestimated how big it was going to be. But that was OK because I am a total…

Chubby Unicorns need love too! | Review

I have always had a thing for Unicorns. They are beautiful, majestic, and yes…they’re a mythical beast – but that doesn’t stop them from being cool. They have a certain aura about them that makes us believe in fairies, hope and pixie dust.  Sure, a Unicorn is just an upgraded horse {in a matter of speaking} but they are so much more than that. The first Unicorn I ever saw was from the cartoon, Rainbow Brite – do you remember it? I loved that show! Her Unicorn Sprite was my first love and now it’s amazing to watch my own…
