Going into Summer with a splash, with Zuru toys

#AD – This summer isn’t going to be the same as last summer and maybe not even next summer. But do you know what? With the help of Zuru toys, we’re going to have an excellent one regardless – more so if we get the good weather to go along with it! Zuru kindly sent us out a collection of water blasters and water balloons to make one hell of a splash this summer!

Zuru Toys kindly sent us out the following products to review:
- 3 x Bunch’O’Balloons – 100 Rapid filling, self-sealing water balloons – £9.99 per packet
- 1 x Bunch’O’Balloons Water Filler/Soaker – £12.99
- 1 x X-Shot Water Warfare Micro Fast-Fill Water Blaster – £10.00
- 1 x X-Shot Water Warfare Fast-Fill Water Blaster – £12.99
Before I go into this review any further, Zuru Toys have shared a fun activity page on their website. It’s all about at-home activities for kids with bunch’O’balloons. We have had loads of fun doing some of these activities ourselves, so just read on for our thoughts on the water blasters, the self-sealing water balloons and lots of fun, cute photos!
I’m going to tell you about the Bunch O Balloons Filler/Soaker product and the water balloons first because for me? This product is a game-changer. We don’t have an outside water tap, so we don’t have a garden hose. And with Bunch O Balloons water balloons, we always felt a little excluded. I know you can get attachments for indoor water taps etc, but we could never get one to fit ours. But knowing that this Bunch O Balloons soaker and filler can fill the water balloons for you is so handy.

We were able to fill up a bunch of water balloons within minutes and in no time at all, a water fight was underway! It was absolute chaos, but hilarious fun.

Let the water fight commence!
In retaliation, the boys armed themselves with both the X-Shot Warfare Micro Fast-fill & the X-Shot Warfare Fast-fill water blasters and the water fight was fully underway! With water blasters being shot one way and water balloons being thrown in the other!
The X-Shot Warfare Fast fill is such a cool product and hands down the fastest filling water blaster I have ever seen. It feels in seconds. You literally open the cap at the back, dunk, fill and close it with its rapid-sealing technology. It shoots up to 34ft {10 metres} and it has a water pup action i.e. no trigger!
As for the X-Shot warfare Micro fast-fill, the idea is the same – it also fills in seconds. One-second to be exact! The same concept applies, you pull the hammer, dunk, fill and close with it’s patented rapid-sealing technology and pull the trigger. It’s as simple as that!
Lastly, as for the Hydro blaster i.e. the Bunch O Balloons soaker/filler – you just place it into the water, draw the handle back to fill, raise, aim & fire! This one is so much fun to use and it goes for ages!

Also, these water blasters mean business! There is no ‘light-soaking’ with these – you get drenched! Which is part of the fun, right? The Hydro blaster i.e Soaker/filler feels like it goes on for days and the X-Shot Warfare Fast-fill has such a large water tank, that it goes for a good while, as well!

Honest thoughts?
I have to be honest, these are probably the best water blasters we have ever used. We have always had to run back into the house to refill the water pistols and yes, this always resulted in wet floors and accidents pending! Now that we’ve used these, there is no way we would go back to having non ‘fast-fill’ water blasters. The fast-fill ability on these is a real game-changer.
The water balloons are great too. We only lost a few when filling our first batch, so I think we were filling them too quickly. So take your time, and you will have a batch of water balloons within a few minutes. Which compared to standing there and filling them by hand then tying each one? Using the Bunch O Balloons soaker/filler is immensely faster! We also love how this product has duel capabilities! It can absolutely drench you one minute and then fill up a batch of water balloons the next! It’s our personal favourite!

We just had two large water buckets in the garden, acting as a ‘refill station’ and it didn’t take long for the buckets to be used in the water fight, too! Then after the water fight {which left us all dripping wet!}, we just relaxed in the sunshine with ice lollies to dry off.

It’s safe to admit, that every day we have had this glorious sunshine {which I hope I have not jinxed!} we have had an all-out water fight battle in the front garden. Parents and all! It’s not fair the kids getting all the fun, right?
These products are seriously awesome and they have withstood the kids throwing them about to change arms etc and still work fine. So durability factor gets a thumbs up from us, too.
Lastly, the price?
I would have assumed they’d be more expensive than what they are, so the price is very good! So much so, we have plans to buy a few more because there are 5 of us in the house and only 3 water blasters. The parents are always getting drenched first! Parents VS kids need a more even playing field, wouldn’t you agree?
The water balloons, however, at £9.99 for a pack of 100 – I can see how you’d think they’d be on the expensive side and your right! I guess you’re paying for the fast-fill ability for these and 100 balloons with my lot would last 5 minutes, tops! So the balloons, in my opinion, are expensive, but as a treat or a gift, they’re great!
