Free printable Mind Maps for children

I am one of these people who needs to offload her mind before I can relax and go to sleep. Can you relate? In all honesty, I never used to be that person. As in, I never used to offload. I would build it, store it, which obviously drove me crazy and sleeping became the most difficult time of my day. Nowadays though, thanks to the advice of a good friend, I now do a daily mind map. I offload all of my worries and concerns, including my hopes and goals for the following day. It’s been helping. So, due to our current global pandemic and current lockdown state, my kids are the ones that are now struggling. I wrote a post recently about our 7th week in lockdown. Obviously, like us all, they have their good days and their bad days. Currently, they have been in lockdown for so long that they are now storing their emotions, which we all know is not a good thing to do. So, I decided to create a collection of free printable mind maps for children. In a hope that it can help them offload all of their worries and concerns before they go to sleep. They can also add their hopes and goals for the next day and even give themselves a little self-confidence boost of things they have overcome lately – no matter how small. Every battle won is a victory.

I have created a small collection of printable mind maps for children. I have made them so that they can also be personalised, with the help of the little boy or girl icon in the middle. They can colour in the hair, draw on the faces to match their own features etc. I have also made that the ‘My Mind Map’ title can also be coloured in. We all know, even as adults, colouring-in can be a relaxing activity. So I thought be adding that it could help them ease their little minds before offloading onto their mind map.

Mental health is such a huge part of our world, these days. It always has been, but nowadays it is more noticed, validated and supported. During the times we are all currently facing, I think caring for our minds and our children’s minds are more important than ever. Which was my main reason for creating these simple, yet, {hopefully} effective mind maps for children.

I hope your children enjoy offloading all of their worries and concerns onto these mind maps. I know my lot are! It’s nice to see them having the courage to bring those worries out into the open and onto paper. I know that I personally, find that very hard to do and I am very late to the party in airing them onto my pages. However, I hope that encouraging my children to air those problems, to release them from their minds that it will help them control their beautiful minds a little easier. To be less stressed, less bombarded with concern, leaving more room for joy, happiness and contentment.
