Blog organisation & finding my feet in 2019

Before the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, I made a handful of promises to myself. One; to be more organised. Two; to be kinder to me. Three; to finally grab my blog by the proverbial horns and show her who’s boss. My blog has always been a bit…all over the place. Especially through 2018. It’s never really had a ‘niche’ – per se! It’s always been a space full of jumbled up information and randomly shared posts. No blog organisation, no scheduled posting days that can be looked forward too. Nothing.
Until those promises were made before midnight on New Year’s eve…
I realised at the grand young age of 38 that I need to finally pull up my big girl pants. Accept that I am an adult and get my sh*t together. Our house is chaos, my workspace is chaos and everything else is…you guessed it…chaos!
I’m tired of it.
I knew that 2019 needed to be a great year for my blog. It needed to be straightened it up, have actual scheduled posting days and make sure I have a good selection of lifestyle and family orientated posts. Because that’s my blog – Family Lifestyle.
Along with making some rather lovely – if I don’t say so myself – free printable calendar templates, I decided to plan each month of my blog, into posts and stick to it come hell or high water. So far, I’m pleased to report, so good!
So the blog is getting into order. Check!
Just before 2019 kicked off, I had a bit of an epiphany – when I first made my Elf on the Shelf printables, I never thought they’d be as popular as they are. It never occurred to me that printables could be my thing. But it turns out that they could be! As a result of that revelation, throughout 2019 you’ll be seeing a whole bunch of free printables on my blog – which I am excited to share with you guys.
My latest free printable to share with you guys and in keeping with the blog organisation aim & theme…is a daily blog schedule. Which is something – ever since coming into my life – I cannot imagine being without it. As a busy parent, my head can get foggy with everything I need to remember, adding the responsibility of the blog on top of that and things can get jumbled and forgotten about.
