Mint Aero Fifteens Recipe – A Northern Irish traybake

Growing up in Northern Ireland, I have seen these delicious looking no-bake treats, everywhere. In bakeries and cafes in every part of Northern Ireland, I have ever visited. Alongside other tasty classics such as shortbread, fairy cakes, caramel squares and more. A Fifteens recipe normally has glace cherries in them, however, I’m not a fan! And, as you’ve seen by the title of this post, I replaced the glace cherries with mint aero bubbles and it’s nothing short of genius. These Mint Aero Fifteens taste incredible and even better with a cup of tea.
So, if you’d like to know how to make fifteens, then keep reading. And just to clarify, this is a recipe for fifteens without cherries.
After sharing my Mint aero fifteens on my Instagram recently, I’ve learned that across the pond didn’t even know what a fifteen was! So, they’re losing out, right? All of you Northern Irish folk, like myself, know they are missing out on this delicious traybake delight. Thus resulting in me putting together this no-bake recipe post and if you’d like to pique your curiosity and whip up a really nice, Northern Irish no-bake fridge cake then give this delicious fifteens recipe a try.

Mint Aero Fifteens – A Northern Irish Recipe
To make this tasty little treat, you need minimal ingredients and as you’ve already read, it is a no-bake recipe. And here is everything you’ll need to make your own Mint Aero Fifteens.

Ingredients
200g Condensed Milk
75g Desiccated Coconut
15 Digestive biscuits
1 1/2 handfuls of mini marshmallows
1 bag of Mint Aero Bubbles
How to put it all together
First, crush up your 15 digestive biscuits and pour the crushed biscuits into a large bowl. Add your condensed milk, marshmallows & mint aero bubbles and mix until well combined.
Roll out some cling film onto a surface and sprinkle on your desiccated coconut and pour on your fifteen mixture. With the cling film, roll the mixture into a sausage shape, with the coconut covering the outside. Pop it into the fridge overnight.
Then, enjoy. It is that simple. Crazy easy recipe to make and they taste incredible.
Now, obviously, if you are not a mint fan then by all means, add those glace cherries. You can add 15 glace cherries cut in half to your recipe instead of the mint aero bubbles.

Want a vegan-friendly version?
You can also make Fifteens vegan friendly by adding the cherries along with vegan-friendly marshmallows. Available from lots of stores around the country.
This is such an easy classic recipe, so simple to make that you can totally get the kids involved too.
