Num Noms inspired pancakes

It’s Pancake Tuesday!! Possibly my most favourite food-related day of the year {if that can even be a thing!}. Today is the day that the nation goes mental over pancakes and we love them in our house, too. We’re the kind of pancake fans were we don’t have a preference for when is right to eat them. We’ll happily have them for breakfast, lunch or dinner – we’re not fussy – especially not when it comes to those fluffy pancakes of joy! 

Num Noms got in touch recently and offered us the chance to get involved with their #NumNomsPancakeDay Challenge – and with Annabelle loving Num Noms, I accepted. We were set the challenge to whip together some Num Noms inspired pancakes and we received a bundle of series 4 Num Noms goodies to give us some inspiration. 

We received a starter pack {RRP £9.99} and some nail-polish & glitter-gloss num noms, too {RRP £3.99}.  Annabelle isn’t usually a girly girl, but for some reason as soon as she has nail polish in her possession – she needs to paint her nails & your’s too! No questions asked.

Personally, I think we both rocked our cherry & lemony polish-it colours. Not to mention our lips looked a little bit marvellous – with a little touch of sparkle – from our Razzy drop gloss-up! 

Once the excitement of opening up all of her Num Noms, it was time to make our pancakes. Now, I thought the pancake mix-in-a-bottle was going to be a game changer for me? And for the world, quite frankly! But the pancakes came out quite rubbery so I made a dash out to our local store to buy some back-ups! If the pancake mix in a bottle worked for you, do let me know in the comments! Maybe I did it wrong? But nevertheless, we just used store bought ones for this challenge.

I gave Annabelle everything she needed to design her Num Nom inspired pancake and she had such a great time decorating it. She decided to decorate her pancake {I think}, like Cotton Candied because she used a lot of candy floss {it’s her favourite thing, ever!}. But she had loads of fun decorating her pancake and I think she had even more fun eating it.
