My Amp Review with Hawkins Bazaar!

We’re massive, massive music lovers in this house. The range of music love is vast; with the age ranges and different tastes of everyone, it’s actually quite liberating hearing such a wide range of music tastes that echo around our home. The darling man and I are rock lovers, with me adoring a little metal on the side. The kids are heavily into their pirate metal {this makes me insanely proud} and of course, the albums of Little Mix, Taylor Swift and such have found their way into our lives {all thanks to having a 10yr old daughter}. The toddler loves nothing more to groove and ‘shake her booty’ to the sounds of her favourite movie theme tunes such as Immortals by Fall out boy from Big Hero 6 and ‘I’m a Monster’ from Hotel Transylvania. So as you can see, the range is wide and seriously varied.

Most, if not all of this is usually just played via my phone {if and when we can pry it from the hands of my toddler!} and I must say, the sound on my phone is pretty good, but it can go a little ‘crazy’ if put up to loud. So when Hawkins Bazaar got in touch asking me if I’d like to review one of the ‘My Amp’ products I was pretty excited.

The amp is actually bigger than I thought it would be but also really, really cool. It’s literally a miniature guitar amp speaker, even down to the little tuning dials on the front. I personally think it looks awesome!

The ‘My Amp‘ is super easy to set up because it comes with everything you need {other than a few AA batteries which we all have lying around the house – I know I do!} but you just plug the 3.5mm audio jack it into your smartphone or MP3, switch it on and BOOM…it’s actually perfect for when the kids are playing in the garden.

I love that you can control the bass, treble and the volume from the amp, and you can still control the volume via your smartphone or MP3 device too.

I genuinely love this product. Its fun, it looks great, the sound is amazing and I think it’s a great price too, especially considering the quality of the product also. Plus, it’s been our perfect companion out in the garden on the few sunny days we’ve had!
