Last minute Gift Ideas for Grandparents!

Last minute Gift Ideas for Grandparents!

With under one week to go until Christmas, we are all scrambling to get those last minute gift ideas under the tree. Whether you wrap in a rush or neatly with a bow. Now, the one pod of family that I personally find difficult to buy for, or my kids to buy for, are the Grandparents. So this post has a collection of last minute gift ideas for Grandparents because if you’re anything like me, you’ll be a little lost too.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Grandparents

There are so many cute and thoughtful gift ideas for Grandparents. I know when mine where still here, they loved the little sentimental touches. Little tokens such as a handprint paintings {framed, of course!}. Little salt dough ornaments that they could hang on their tree and even homemade cookies. My Grandad loved cookies especially when they where still warm! So with so little time before Christmas, homemade gift ideas are your saving grace.

Another great gift for Grandparents, especially those dealing with particular medical conditions such as arthritis or migraines is Paingone. Paingone has been clinically tested to provide drug-free pain relief for the body. Such as feet, legs, back pain and even migraines. They have CE certified medical devices to provide drug-free pain relief, which is amazing, especially for those who find taking medicine difficult or distressing. These devices can provide pain relief in the areas needed without any added stress. You can read more on Paingone and their story, here. You could even look into something a little more unique and fun, and check out Lordship titles as a gift for your Grandparents this season!

4 DIY/Homemade Gift Ideas for loved ones this Christmas

We have a few ideas for my Dad for Christmas, from his Grandkids. Due to being a very busy man, he loves to stay organised. So a calendar is the perfect gift for him. These are so easy to make on the computer using websites such as Canva and the best part is you can add photos of family. Add in funny family photos and sweet moments, something to make him smile and you have yourself a great gift idea for Grandad or Granny!

Another great last minute gift idea, which is always a lifesaver for me, is baking something up to gift to loved ones. Nothing says “I love you” more than giving up your time to create something that can make someone happy. And baked goods make people happy, right?

My Homemade cookie recipe is excellent. Delicious soft centred, yet crunchy chocolate chip cookies are one of the top tier gifts in my book.

You could take your baking a step further and create something we all know Grandparents love – sucky sweets! Or at least, mine did! My Granny was crazy about butter balls {perhaps they are just a Northern Irish thing, but they taste great!}. Whereas my Grandad loved an Everton mint, which is the same as a mint humbug sweet. Now, I am not saying you need to go that fancy, but check out Pinterest for ideas because they are easier to make than what you might think!

The best gift to give to Grandparents this Christmas, to make someone happy, is quite simply….time. I loved spending time with my Grandparents as a child. Whether I was popping by to walk their dog, enjoy a bowl of Granny’s Irish Stew or quite simply to chill out next to them on the sofa. Give them your time because lets be honest, they won’t be around forever and those memories you will make together will be carried with you.

Quick and easy homemade gifts that I hope give you a touch of inspiration if you need it. And whatever your festive plans this year, I hope they are magical and full of joy.

Merry Christmas!
