The best Chocolate Chip cookie recipe

There are so many variations to cookies these days. From giant flat cookies, to small and chunky, there is crunchy through and through cookies and melt in your mouth delicious cookies. But this recipe? This recipe will make you happy, trust me. I have made quite a few batches to make sure my first try wasn’t a fluke and that they are consistently good.

Ingredients

115g of unsalted butter
90g of Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 large egg
210g of Plain Flour
1/2 tsp of Baking Soda
Pinch of salt {optional}
150g chocolate chips {plus extra for decorating}

Method

It’s quite simple really because I am put everything into a bowl and combine it together as one, kind of baker! And once you have a dough-like consistency, weigh each ball of dough {110g} for each cookie. Space out well on a parchment-covered baking tray. And bake for 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees C. Allow to cool on a wire rack {optional}.

Now, you can eat one while they are still warm, which in my opinion is the best way! However, please do be careful because the chocolate chips are usually hotter than the cookie itself. So please do be careful not to burn yourself. But either way, a warm cookie is so much better than a cold one {in my opinion!}. But they are delicious either way in all honesty.

My gang ate my most recent batch in less time than it took to me to make them. I think they are a win, wouldn’t you say? You can also add mint aero chocolate to your cookie dough mix to make a delicious batch of Mint Aero Chocolate Chip cookies, which also taste incredible!
