Instagram moments captured in an album with Colorland | Review

Instagram has always been my favourite social media platform. Sure, we’ve had our ups & downs due to algorithms changing and what not. But the love for it is still there. Plus, I love a square cropped photo, don’t you?

However, in case you weren’t aware already – because I literally just found out recently myself – you can make your images in portrait on Instagram now. Which, I knew you could do before, but it looked messy with the gaps at the side. Now there are zero gaps and it gives you a little more room for creativity beyond the square cropped life.

Colorland got in touch recently and offered me the chance to make a photo album. And being all about photo albums and having actual able-to-touch photos and memories of our life {for my children to look back on} is something I love to do. With Instagram, especially!

So, kids, if you read this someday, I’m not even sorry about all the photo albums! Look at them, enjoy them and remember all the fun we had!

I chose the Instagram Luxury Album and making your photo album is so easy. The software within the website does most of it for you. You choose the photos you’d like in the album, you can switch up the layouts if you wanted too and you can even change templates. It’s all there for you to fiddle with and look through to make sure you get the album you want.

The sizes available are;

  • 15×15 {Square}
  • 20×15 {landscape}
  • 20×20 {Square}

They all come with a matte finished laminated, padded cover and each page is made of rigid card with a matte finish. You also have a choice of having either 20, 30 or 40 pages in your album.

I chose a multitude of memories for this album and even though there was no real theme, I love it all the same. I chose photos from Ellie doing her Summer coding camp with Kano, to our family holiday in France with Eurocamp.

I handpicked moments that contained lots of happy faces, funny moments and sweet ones, too. From naps on floors to running through waterfalls. Afternoons handpicking our own fruit to holding butterflies in Donegal.

In truth though, I have tens of thousands of memories to choose from, but this will not be my final album. Oh no! The moments we capture give nobody joy if they’re just sitting on a flash drive in the bottom of a drawer. They need to be printed in all kinds of forms, hung up all over the place & in albums.

What do you do with your photos once you’ve taken them?

    These look so luxury! I currently print off photos using an app and stick them on my wall, but these look a lovely way to create something more long-lasting. Might be a good idea for me to do a Festival Memories book every year with my favourite festival photos!

    A few years ago I did a photo album like this for our wedding pics. I keep saying I’m going to make more. Maybe when I have time over this Summer!

    That’s really nice. I turn mine into scrapbook style photo albums but I’m waaaaay behind on that project.

    I rarely make photo albums these days but I am loving the idea of printing my IG pictures and adding them to an album

    I really like this – what a great way of displaying photos – and I do like photos you can actually handle.

    I’ve been looking for something like this to document my daughters life through the years so I am so glad I’ve read this post now. I love the detailing finish and the photos look high class. Off to create my own memories now.
