Fancy Dress fun with Funidelia {Review}

My children {mainly my two girls} love to dress up in fancy dress costumes. It’s such a fun way for them to join in on imaginative play and look cool. Over the years we have acquired quite the collection of fancy dress costumes; from Queens, Spiders, the Fantastic Mr Fox and even Bilbo Baggins. Recently, however, we were sent a few more to add to our ever-growing collection from the online store Funidelia.

The kids took quite a while to choose the costumes on this review because the range that Funidelia has is quite impressive but with Hal. They have all kinds of cool costumes from Disney, TV show characters, Star Wars and they just don’t have costumes for kids, oh no. They also have costumes for adults, babies and even for your pet. I mean, who wouldn’t want to dress their dog up as Robin from Teen Titans Go just because!

My girls {finally} decided on the costumes they wanted to review and as soon as they arrived I blinked and they had run off with them to put them on. My eldest daughter who is 11yrs old got the Girls Deluxe Nya Lego Costume  RRP: £39.99 {from Lego Ninjago}. And my youngest daughter picked her current favourite character, Mario with the Prestige Mario Bros Child Costume RRP: £39.99.

The quality of both of the girl’s costume choices was really great. In the past, I have bought costumes and they have felt quite cheap and had thin material. So it was great to feel that both of these costumes felt like great quality fancy dress costumes.

The Nya Lego costume comes with the 3D style mask, the top, trousers and lego hand gloves. The Prestige Mario costume comes with the jumpsuit, hat, gloves, moustache and my favourite part, a blow up detachable belly. Both of the girls looked absolutely fantastic in their costumes and the blow-up belly part of the Mario costume never failed to make us laugh and it even has multiple functions….as modelled by my {at the time} tired out 4yr old.

This Deluxe Super Mario Bros costume is just hilarious. I have never in my life seen a fancy dress costume that comes with an inflatable tummy for the full costume effect before – but we absolutely love it.

Fancy dress with Funidelia

My eldest girl chose Kia from Lego Ninjago – she’s a huge fan! And this costume is unreal. I’d never seen a Lego character fancy dress costume before {other than the standard brick head} so this one blew us away. It comes with the mask, gloves, top & trousers. The outfit is awesome quality and looks amazing.

Lastly, for myself, I chose a Dalek dress. I was so excited to see a costume from one of my favourite TV shows, Doctor Who. The dress looks amazing – I got a size 16 and in fairness, it’s a little tight but it still looks amazing once it’s on. You also get the little Dalek antennae as a headband to wear – so all I need now are a pair of gold shoes and my Halloween costume will be complete!

We absolutely love our fancy dress costumes from Funidelia and now we cannot wait for Halloween night. Funidelia has such an extensive range of costumes, so do pop over to check them out – you won’t be disappointed! I also understand some may think they’re a little on the expensive side, and yes, I can agree with you there, however – the quality of each costume we were sent is amazing. So you’re getting what you pay for in my opinion.

What do you fancy going as for Halloween this year? Do you dress up too or just leave it for the little ones?
