An evening at the Lost City Adventure Golf in Belfast

Mini golf is something I remember playing loads when I was a child. I was never any good at it, but it was fun to play nevertheless. At Cityside {Yorkgate} in Belfast, we have a new adventure golf centre open called The Lost City Adventure Golf. When we saw it just before Christmas {when it was still under construction} we were excited for it to open because it looked amazing – and that was just from the outside! We had a little peek inside and we could not wait for it to be open!

Just last week, we attended their launch night and we were so excited. This was going to be Annabelle’s first time playing mini golf {on any scale} and even though I was a little nervous about giving a 4yr old a golf club – I knew she was going to have a blast.

Entrance to Lost City Golf, Belfast

When you walk through the ruined stone entrance you are literally transformed from a shopping centre, into a wondrous place. Trees are everywhere, I could hear a waterfall in the distance, monkeys chatting and birds chirping. Also, faintly in the background, I could hear the Indiana Jones theme tune. I could not have been happier at that moment. The kids, on the other hand, could not believe their eyes. Everywhere they turned their eyes were wide with wonder, trying to take in everything at once.

Rainforest Cafe

Before we played, we enjoyed some delicious food in the Rainforest Cafe. The BBQ pulled pork sliders were something else and the cocktail sausages are always a winner with the kids. So after a quick bite – the kids refused to wait any longer – we got our putters and our balls and headed off to the Explorer Falls.

Mini golf courses

The kids had an absolute blast as we made our way around the Explorer Falls. Next up was the Sunken Skull ridge which was up on the next level. The kids could not wait so naturally left me behind as they bolted up the stairs.

Kids at Lost City Adventure golf

We had a seriously fun time at Lost City Adventure Golf, and as soon as we left the kids were instantly asking when we could go back! It took us about an hour or so to make it round both courses – bearing in mind we had a four-year-old with us at the time. But nevertheless, we had a blast and we cannot wait to visit again!

Disclosure: We were kindly invited along and provided a complimentary game to play during their launch night. This review was not requested, but I did so anyway because we had such a great time.
