Our Viaduct Adventure

On the morning Ellie and Jacob flew off on holiday with their Dad & Grandparents, I felt horrifically lost. So, to counteract my sadness {as I was missing their faces and hugs already!} little miss Belle & I took ourselves off for a little adventure. I made her a pair of little shorts from one of her jeans. She never wears jeans! So it seemed the perfect thing to do, plus how cute did she look in her jean shorts, pink hat & wellies!! So with a little lunch packed, wellies on we were off! The viaduct is luckily quite local…

The quaint town of Vic-Sur-Aisne, France.

When we had a holiday in Berny-Riviera, France with Eurocamp last month we had the absolute pleasure of going out for a bike ride one day {which swiftly turned into several!} and accidentally stumbling across a little town I actually saw online. I was thrilled that we got to see the quaint town of Vic-Sur-Aisne as it looked so pretty on the internet, but even more so in person. The town was so lovely and….well….french! It had a true old French feel to it and I loved it. It felt very relaxed and there was a patisserie everywhere we turned.…

Belfast Comic Con 2015!

Last year was the first time EVER that MCM Comic Con arrived in Belfast – sadly I never got to go to last years {the darling man did though – a birthday treat!} and this year he did the same. However, the day after he went, I was excited to be taking my two younger kids for the first time. Now, for years I’ve been a big San Diego Comic-Con fan. I’d watch all of my favourite TV show/movie panels on youtube and just get lost in the whole atmosphere of it. Now, the Belfast version would never have anyone…

We went to Legoland Discovery Centre with SuperBreak!

A few weeks before we were jetting off to Haven in Blackpool for our first Family holiday, I received a lovely email from the team at Superbreak, offering us a day out to one of the destinations on their very extensive list! Being a blogger from Northern Ireland, we’d generally be excluded from opportunities like this, but as luck would have it we were going to be over on the mainland so we felt very lucky & chose to visit Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester.  We have a troop of Lego loving tiny humans and they were very excited to get there.…

We survived Blackpool Tower!

As a kid, I knew as soon as you could see Blackpool tower, that we were almost there. The butterflies would develop in your tummy and you knew that so much fun was waiting to be had. From the sandy beaches, the donkey rides, amusement arcades, countless seaside food establishments and so much more. Now, that I am the parent, with my own children it’s just as exciting for them when they spot to tower in the distance.  On this particular visit to Blackpool, whilst staying at the lovely Marton Mere Haven resort. We were kindly gifted some Big Blackpool tickets…

Maritime Festival, Belfast May 2014

For a few years now we’ve seen flyers and adverts displaying the Maritime Festival with Tall Ships over at the Odyssey in Belfast. We never got to it before now & this year we actually got to go to it by coincidence. With a friend & her pups, we’d arranged a trip to the LEGO Brick City Exhibition in the Titanic Building. The slot for the exhibition was only for an hour so having the Maritime festival just outside was a big bonus!  We arrived a little early and as we walked over the bridge towards the Odyssey we could see the…

Cavehill Adventure Park – Part One.

Where we live I suppose you could call it a valley. To the left is hills & fields, to the right is the historic Cavehill and to the front we have the Irish Sea. It is beautiful. Cavehill hosts our local Belfast Zoo which we visited over Easter, but also tucked into the side of the mountain is the illustrious Belfast Castle and Cavehill Country Park with an adventure playground.  This is where I took the kids yesterday. The skies were as blue as blue can be from as early as dawn and the temperature just kept rising. It was…
