An afternoon in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset

We recently flew over to Burnham-on-sea to spend a week at the Haven holiday park there and whilst on holiday we made plans to visit a few places and Weston-Super-Mare had to be one of them. I don’t think I have ever been there before, but having family from Somerset and remembering many holidays over there as a child, I’m sure I have. But nevertheless of it being the first time or not, it was a lovely place to visit with my own family. We didn’t get the best weather when we got there but in all honesty, the kids…

Another day visiting London {& what I got up to!}

In the last month, I have {shockingly} been in London three times. THREE TIMES! Crazy. The first trip was just for the day & that was to meet the lovely Jo Frost for a Q&A surrounding the #BathBookBed routine with The Book Trust and Tots100. That was wonderful and the next trip involved me bringing along my 7 & 10yr old for a fun Skylanders blogger event with Activision. Being the little gamers that they are, they loved it! In fact, I distinctly remember Jacob heading into the main room and just hopping off as happy as can be. Whereas I…

Making memories in London

The other week the kids joined me on a day trip to London to attend a super fun Skylanders blogger event. They really had the best time and once it was all over we had the rest of the day to do a bit of sightseeing.  Last year my daughter Ellie got to visit the National History Museum after our Guinness World Records blogger event, so naturally that was top of the list to visit this time round. She was super excited to even get the chance to show her little Brother Jacob around the museum this time too. Jacob…

A visit to Streamvale Farm

Over the Easter break, we decided to head off on a day trip to Streamvale farm. Little did I know that by the time we got there, I should have turned round and come straight home! With a toddler who decided it was a fabulous idea to get up at 0430hrs that morning, then falling asleep on the bus merely minutes before we arrived, threw up all kinds of red flags. But, we met up with friends and persevered with a very tired and very {very!} grumpy toddler. God help me! Look at those little faces! Even that little one in…

A visit to Belfast Zoo

It’s the Easter holidays, which means everybody {and their Mother} flocks to the zoo. I don’t know about you guys, or where you live etc, but here in Belfast? The zoo is the place to go over the school Easter break. It’s a place that even I remember being taken too with my cousins, when we were wee {many moons ago!} over the Easter holidays. On this particular day the zoo wasn’t our main plan, but, other events unfolded and the zoo became our plan B and it turned out to be one hell of an epic decision to make.…

An officially amazing day with Guinness World Records!

A few weeks ago my eldest daughter and I were invited to join in on a Bloggers fun day event held by the Guinness World Records team in London. A very exciting event to attend which also meant it was a day trip to London {you can read about what we got up to in the spare time we had!} for Ellie and me. Ellie has never been to London before so I was pretty excited for her and all she would get to see in one day. Plus it was also pretty amazing to be able to bring her along…

Our day trip to London!

A few weeks ago Ellie and were given the amazing opportunity to fly to London for the day to attend an event. Upon our arrival in London, it turned out that we had a few hours to spare, so with my daughter being the little museum nerd that she is, there really was only one place that I wanted to take her to and of course, that was the National History Museum. Ellie was so WOW’d by the speedy atmosphere of London that her eyes were so wide trying to take it all in with every step we took. I…

Making Memories at Pleasure Beach, Blackpool.

Going through my draft posts I just found this little gem. A little gem that I totally and utterly thought I had shared with you guys, but it clearly got sucked into the depths that is, a busy blog-sphere! Anyways, this post was written up last year and it’s all about our at the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool! When we went on our first holiday back in June, staying at the fabulous Haven Holiday park in Marton Mere, we were given am amazing opportunity to have a day out at Pleasure Beach. We received complimentary wrist bands which were very generous,…

Ulster Museum & Belfast Botanic Gardens!

Since the kids got back from their holiday in Spain, the weather’s been pretty pants. From their daily wear of shorts and t-shirts to woolly jumpers and jeans has been a bit of a shock for them both. So with rainy days, in fact, I should say, repeated rainy days, cabin fever sets in! So we decided to get outdoors to visit our local Ulster Museum & Belfast Botanic Gardens and crossed our fingers that the rain would stay away! I was in a total “Do I take the buggy? Don’t I take the buggy” decision struggle with myself because…
