Another day visiting London {& what I got up to!}

In the last month, I have {shockingly} been in London City three times. THREE TIMES! Crazy. The first travel visit was just for the day & that was to meet the lovely Jo Frost for a Q&A surrounding the #BathBookBed routine with The Book Trust and Tots 100.
That was wonderful and the next trip involved me bringing along my 7 & 10 yr old for a fun Skylander’s blogger event with Activision. Being the little gamer’s that they are, they loved it!
In fact, I distinctly remember Jacob heading into the main room and just hopping off as happy as can be. Whereas I bee-lined it for the scrumptious looking candy-fueled table in the middle.
Here is a little peek into what I got up to on my latest hop across the Irish Sea to visit the busiest City I’ve ever known, London.
My day in London City

I didn’t manage to get my actual photo took or anything {however I plan to the next time I’m there!} but it was super cool just to see it. FYI, if you’re thinking about it, watch out for the queues as they’re insanely long!
Carnaby Street

The lovely Daddy blogger, Papa Tont gave me the idea to travel to Choccywoccydodah, and I’d be lying if I didn’t drool a little as he described the giant cookies he had with a chocolate dipping pot.
It was a little tricky to find I have to admit, having never been to it before, but I found it eventually. It’s just off the very fabulous & fun Carnaby Street and I literally could not wait to get inside.

I’d seen the place on TV and wow’d over the many epically made chocolate cakes they provided, and to see some of those cakes in person was pretty awesome.

I waited patiently in the queue to get a spot upstairs in their cafe, as I could not resist indulging in some of their tasty treats now that I was there.

The upstairs cafe was divine. Vintage lampshades hung quirkily above tables, the walls were a luscious red, the atmosphere was wonderous yet calming and the smell in the air? Beautiful! I ordered a slice of chocolate cake and a chocolate milkshake with popping candy.

I will be the first to admit that I was worried in case the cake and shake were too chocolatey for me. But it wasn’t. It was unbelievable!

My next and final tourist stop was to be the Tower of London, including London Bridge. This is a part of London that I have never visited before and it really blew me away.

My day trip to London City was amazing. It exhausted me {literally} but I really had the best time. Those little days that you can just potter about by yourself {being kid-free helps!}.
I was able to eat ice-cream {and not share it!} and the best part? Being able to just sit down, enjoying the sounds around me and just being able to breathe for a little bit.
Thank you, London! Until next time…. xo

I am looking forward to returning to London one day soon, I want to shop at Camden Market.
