Back to School & Lunchtime talk with Hartley’s

As of this week – my three younger children are all Back to School {Yay!}. Don’t get me wrong, our Summer together was amazing but my goodness this Mama and her cubs needed some routine back in their lives and thankfully school provides that for us all.

The weather hasn’t held back on letting us know that the Summer holidays are well and truly over either – as I sit here typing this I am wrapped in a blanket and my kids have slipped into their woolly jumpers. Autumn is coming in thick and fast and it’s letting us know to wrap up warm!

My children usually get a mixture of packed lunches and warm school meals – which is mainly dependant on the weather. I much prefer my children to have a nice warm meal throughout their school day in the colder months, but on the run up to those, I do enjoy preparing their lunchboxes for them too.

My children have thankfully become a little less ‘fussy’ with their school lunches {mainly aiming that statement towards my son, Jacob}. So I really enjoy making them a collection of fun lunches. I am always keeping in mind what I put into my children’s lunchboxes and making sure I provide them with a healthy, balanced lunch.

As well as the usual sandwiches and rolls I add to my children’s lunches, I do like to add a pot of either custard or a yoghurt. However, Hartley’s jelly pots swooped into my children’s lives over the summer and they’ve stuck as a firm favourite. I myself love jelly, so I can see why children love it too. It’s also great having in these handy little pots, which fit perfectly into my children’s lunchboxes.

These Hartley’s jelly pots have no added sugar {always a bonus!} and after tasting them myself you honestly would never know! In knowing this I’m much more relaxed with the children having these jelly pots as a treat during school lunches or even as a snack once they get home.

These Hartley’s ‘no added sugar’ jelly pots come in a great range of different flavours; Tropical, Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackcurrant & Apple. My kids love the strawberry & raspberry jelly pots! With this great range of flavours, it’s also amazing to know that they have no artificial colours as well as being gluten & fat-free!

Hartley’s have worked with Dr Sam Wass, a child psychologist {which is also behind the show “Secret Life of a 4, 5 & 6 year olds”}. He shares the conversations that our children are having over their lunch. The top topics of conversation include; Favourite toys, friends, Holidays, TV, Family & more.

Hartley’s are giving away lunchboxes when you collect 12 ‘Green’ Hartley’s jelly pot lids. Check out the promotional packs for more details.

Oh my son used to be obsessed with those pots and I’d totally forgotten about them. Will have to get some in for packed lunches too!

My children love jelly. I think they have tried the strawberry ones of these before. I didn’t realise there were other flavours available.

I usually have a pot of jelly in my desk at work too – such a fab snack!
