AD | Getting into the Holiday Spirit with Desenio

Making a house a home includes so many elements. Things like soft and cosy cushions on the sofa to laze on during family movie nights. Or it could be the smell of cookies as you walk through the front door or even little touches throughout the home to make it perfect. For me, a key feature in our home, that I personally adore is framed wall art. Yes, I have lots of family photos throughout our home, that I love changing with new photos each year. But I also wall art from one of my favourite brands, Desenio, to have throughout our family home, too.

Desenio has a huge piece of my heart and on many surfaces, throughout our home, we have framed pieces around our walls. Some botanical pieces were they add that little touch of greenery and nature. Then we would have quirky pieces such as bears on bicycles and pandas blowing bubblegum. I just adore that Desenio has such a wide range to suit everyone’s style. And then this year, which has been the first time I have noticed, but they showcased their Holiday collection and I knew that was the one to collaborate with Desenio on, this year!

The Holiday Collection from Desenio

This collection is beautiful. Full of festive colours, both merry and bright and crisp whites. Snowflakes, Reindeer, Christmas trees on top of cars and cinnamon topped hot cocoas. Not forgetting some festive quotes such as “Make a Wish”, “Lights will guide you Home” and “Baby it’s Cold Outside!”.

I had so much fun picking out my favourites for our Holiday-themed gallery wall this Christmas. And with previous Desenio collaborations, their delivery time is amazing, the way everything is delivered with such care they always get a thumbs up from us. I also love that the framed prints come with a perspex finish rather than glass. That could be a personal preference but it’s mine and I am sticking with it. Do you prefer perspex to glass? I have another Desenio gallery wall that I have up all year round, so it is pretty special to now have a collection to bring out year after year. And one to even add to over the years, as well. I wonder if Desenio will ever do an Easter and Halloween themed collection in the future! That would be something else, wouldn’t it! Being able to change out your prints to suit the seasons!

The Colour tones in this Holiday collection are everything!

I mulled over which prints to go for, for ages. There is such a beautifully festive range that it did make choosing the perfect prints, tricky! And I think I did a pretty neat job, for someone with absolutely no interior decorating taste, whatsoever! I just pick and hope they all blend together in one way or another! But on this occasion, I think I smashed it.

The prints I chose from the Desenio Holiday collection was the Holiday Car Poster, Paper White Stars, Hot Chocolate and Baby it’s Cold Outside. As for sizes, I just chose print sizes for the Desenio frames I had on my wall already. So it was a crazy simple process and just making sure the prints I wanted coming in the right size. Because not all prints come in the same sizes or all of the sizes available.

All of the products are reasonably affordable, adding frames can make them expensive, depending on the size. Obviously, the bigger print or frame you choose, the pricier they are. But I think when it comes to adding particular wall art and or decor to your home, it is worth the expense.

Staying Organised with Desenio

As a busy family, we need some organisation in our lives and sometimes setting alarms on our phones or having a dairy just doesn’t cut it. We need something that we can all use and visualise together, as a family. This is why, when I spotted this Weekly Planner Poster, I knew it was a must-have!

I chose a white frame for our Weekly Planner poster, which comes with its own erasable black marker and now hangs perfectly in our kitchen. The heart of the house. The communal area of our home is where we all come together over delicious food. I absolutely love filling it out every week with my work hours, events, family plans and more. I get an oddly magical sense of pride once it is all filled out because it feels like all of our ducks are in a row. For that week at least! 

This weekly planner comes in 2 sizes: 30cm x 40cm and 50cm x 70cm. I chose the 50cm x 70cm and it is the perfect size for us as a family. I just think, for us personally, the smaller one would not have given us enough space, you know?
