The Big Alphabet Puzzle Review!

Annabelle is getting to a stage in her life where she’s turned into this little sponge that wants to soak up knowledge with every turn of her head. I absolutely love that about children. Their urgency to learn new things, to explore new boundaries and to develop new skills.

Lately, Annabelle has fallen in love {quite literally} with doing jigsaw puzzles and as huge fans {and official testers for Orchard Toys} we were excited to enjoy their newest Big Alphabet Puzzle to review.

Alphabet Jigsaw
This is a 26 piece jigsaw with gorgeous illustrations to encourage and help children learn the alphabet. As Annabelle will be starting nursery next Autumn, I’m keen to teach her what I can before her school days start and I think learning the alphabet is an excellent start.

Like all of their other products, Orchard toys provide you with true quality and this jigsaw is no different. Each jigsaw piece is good & chunky which is perfect for little hands. Each piece is beautifully illustrated with bright colours to intrigue your child{ren} and most of all they’re fun!

When we first completed this jigsaw puzzle together, this was the shot I caught of my toddler {who as you can see, was quite pleased with herself!}.

There are so many ways to make doing this jigsaw fun for your child. I particularly love asking Annabelle a series of questions to help me find the pieces we need, for example; “Where’s the fish?” & “Can you find the Snake?”. She’s so good and finding the pieces we need and one of the best ones was holding up the letter “q” {for Queen} and asking her what it was and she did something I’ve never seen her do before {and I’ve still no idea where she got it from either!}, but she pinched the hem of her top {pretending to be in a dress} and swayed from side to side – just like a Queen! She even the said the word“Elsa!” which just floored me with cuteness.

On another occasion, I walked in to find Annabelle’s & her big Sister doing the jigsaw puzzle together. This was especially fun to watch because Ellie would have a different teaching approach to me, and Annabelle really loves learning from all angles.

So all in all, this jigsaw is a hit! It’s a daily joy for us to do together {at the toddler’s request!} and I just love, love, LOVE how she is learning from it and she even enjoys listening to Mummy singing the Alphabet song as we point to each letter.

Disclosure: As an Official Orchard Toys Tester I was sent this product for the purpose of my review. All thoughts, photos and opinions are my own.

My youngest loved doing puzzles when he was three and four years old. They had just these type of puzzles at his preschool and I used puzzles like this when I was a developmental specialist. Great review! Thanks for sharing. visiting from #themadmidweekbloghop

We’ve been big into puzzles here the past few weeks. I love how excited she gets when she completes one by herself. Sneaking in some learning at the same time is a big plus
