Places to visit in Somerset

In a few short months, we’re going to be jetting off for another fun-filled family holiday. Unlike last year when we ventured off to France to stay in Croix de Vieux Pont with Eurocamp, this year we’re trying out another Haven Holiday in Burnham-on-sea in Somerset. I remember it being a beautiful part of the country so I’m excited to see it again with my family.
Me being typically me I love to plan a ‘things to do’ and ‘places to see’ itinerary. I can be a bit of a Sheldon Cooper when it comes to planning trips. I do love an itinerary! So it’s been fun making one for our next family holiday. Somerset is such a gorgeous part of the country and I would hate to miss out on seeing anything outside the Haven holiday park. So, I thought it would be nice to share a few places I’ve found that you can visit if you’re ever planning a trip to the North of Somerset.
Weston Super Mare, Somerset
Weston-Super-Mare has a beautiful beach and is known for being a much-loved seaside resort with traditional seaside attractions and it even has donkey rides available for the kids along the shore! I reckon buckets and spades will be bought and a day at the beach will be had! Bring on the 99ers and deckchairs!
Animal Adventure Park & Farm
The Animal Farm Adventure park seems like a super fun place to take the children whilst on holiday in Somerset.
Longleat, Somerset
Longleat Safari Park is another great place that I’d love to take the children whilst visiting Somerset. Taking the time to enjoy a Safari bus, taking on the challenge to explore the Longleat hedge maze, checking out the bat cave and even enjoying some fun at the adventure castle!
Puxton Park, Somerset
Keeping up with the animal theme that seems to be dominating this planned holiday, Puxton Park looks like a cute place to hop over to for a visit! From fun tractor cars, water walking {zorbing}, to spending some time at the petting zoo. It looks like a charming place to spend the day!
We’re really looking forward to this year’s family holiday. But most of all, we’re looking forward to spending a week together as a family. Full of eating out, enjoying movie nights after fun-filled days and adventures galore!
Where are you planning to take your family to this year?

We have just booked a short break to Somerset this Summer. It’s funny how many people I am spotting doing this. Hope you have a great time.
