Our 2017 Summer {in photos}

The kids are all back to school which officially means that the summer has ended – queue the tears – but what a Summer it was! The summer holidays have gone as quickly as they started and looking back on the last 9wks of having the kids at home, I can honestly say, we had an amazing time together.
We went on so many adventures, I took a bazillion photos, attempted a few videos for my YouTube channel, took loads of bus/train journeys {joys of being non-drivers}, ate countless ice-creams, rode waves on body boards, flew kites, hatched butterflies and so much more.

Ellie has aww’d over bunny rabbits because she’s desperate for one as a pet.

We posed for Mummy on walls of castles {oh to be a blogger’s child!}

Jacob was dressed as a knight and shown just how strong chain mail is against a sword.

Annabelle became ‘Princess of Carrickfergus castle’ & had a pair of ‘knights’ bow at her feet.

We have played mobile phone games ‘under the stars’ at the Armagh Planetarium.

Enjoyed watching meerkats be…meerkats in Dublin zoo!

We’ve had hours of fun playing Sky high Pie face {from Hasbro}

We’ve held snakes around our necks in Donegal

We have been reunited with the two middle kids after their week away in Blackpool.

We have had orbeez baths {YouTube has a lot to answer for!}.

We made GIANT bubbles {which was on our Summer bucket list}.

We have enjoyed amusement rides in Portrush!

We’ve relaxed.

We have gone body boarding in Castlerock.

We went on a Gruffalo hunt in Colin Glen Forest {and found him!}.

We met amazing YouTubers at Minevention!

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge in Dublin.

We went in search of giants at the Giants Causeway!

We went fruit picking for the first time!

We cooked a dinner over the campfire one-afternoon {it was delicious!}

We’ve toasted marshmallows.

We’ve flown a kite.

As well as sliding down {head first} into a swimming pool.

We kick-started a water fight!

Celebrated my Dad turning 60!

Won a trophy & a medal from Football club!

Celebrated Jacob turning nine! {forgive the blurry capture – but look at his face!}

We grew caterpillars & hatched/released butterflies with Insect Lore!

We explored the Botanical Gardens in Belfast.

We enjoyed an afternoon at Minnowburn

…and had a blast in the Ulster Museum!
And I don’t even think that covers everything we got up to over the summer! It was jam-packed and it truly was the most epic Summer – filled with laughter, adventure and making some awesome memories. I plan to make a Summer 2017 photo journal {when I get the chance!} but I’ll be sure to share that on my blog when it’s all finished.
How was your Summer?

It looks like you guys had an AMAZING Summer! I’m sad it’s over, but I’m ready to embrace Autumn again now 🙂

A very good Summer and here in N.I we get 9wks!
It seems like you had a busy summer. I cannot believe that your daughter is not scared of the snake. I would not dare even to come close to one.
She is a ballsy one – I think she would hold any animal given the chance!
Looks like you have had a summer packed full of fun. Off to see what an orbeez bath is now
Haha – don’t do what I did and order 40,000 of the little things!!
Looks like you had a good summer. Cant believe its nearly gone

It’s crazy, isn’t it! And we really did have an amazing Summer. x
Looks like you had the most amazing summer. I’ve never been to the Giants Causeway, I missed it when I went over for a holiday because I had to revise for an exam so my family went without me 🙁 Must be weird having the kids back at school now?
We really did!! It’s *very* weird having all the kids in school, something I reckon will take a while to get used too. That sucks that you had an exam and you missed out on the Causeway – next time!
Your pictures look great, looks like you had an amazing summer. Your little girl is so brace to be casually holding a snake around her neck, I would’ve run for the hills haha:-)
Haha – she’s got gumption that littlest lady of mine!
It looks like you have had a very busy and fun summer. My little ones would love to grow caterpillars.
Wow! How did you manage to fit this all in?!?! You’ve clearly had an amazing summer and the children look like they have loved every minute of it!
What a gorgeous jam packed summer you have all had… Still waiting for one child to go back to school here, then I can begin to reflect! 😀
Thank you! Oh my, still one child to start school – that’s a late start!
