Siblings project {August 2016}

Do you know, when I was writing the title for this post I accidentally wrote ‘My Siblings in Jul….’ then thought to myself, no, no it’s not July because it’s August. Wow. This year is going by fast! So fast in fact that clearly my brain assumes it’s a whole month behind itself. Subconsciously trying to take hold of 2016 before it’s behind us. But nevertheless, what a month this last one has been and we’ve been busy! Not in the sense of visiting lots of places busy but just enjoying life {not so much the weather} and making the most of whatever Summer holidays we have left.

I can remember the kids finishing for the summer like it was yesterday and now it’s hard to believe we’re only a few weeks away from them going back. Back to school homework, forgetting PE bags and packing lunches. In fairness, I have mixed emotions about them going back to school. Naturally, I’m going to miss them all because it’s been lovely having them around all day, every day. Yet, on the other hand, it’s going to be great having that one on one time with Annabelle before she has preschool in the afternoons. Then once she is dropped off, I’ll have time to work. Like, actual child-free time to work!! I cannot even imagine having that free time to commit myself to my blog and I cannot wait.

The next twelve months are going to be huge for several reasons. Ellie will learn how to cope with high school and Annabelle will thrive in her pre-school year. Both of my girls will change so much over the next year and I’m in two minds about my girls growing up. Ellie will venture more into becoming a young woman and Annabelle will be one step closer to starting Primary school.

All of those crazy-things-to-come my siblings right now are loving life. They’re growing tall, gaining strength and loving unconditionally. They’re loving the sunshine, the rainy days and even though they fight, I know they wouldn’t have our life any other way and neither would I.

    Oh I love posts like this one, my son will be starting the juniors and my little princess will be starting preschool. I too will have some ‘me time’ and I am hoping I can use the time to blog and find a better job.
