HP Instant Ink – Ink replacement service {Review}

Over the years I have owned a fair few printers, and the one thing, the only thing I never liked about owning one was having to buy the replacement ink cartridges. So when I was offered the chance to review the HP Instant ink replacement ink service, my inner tech got a little excited and I needed to find out more.

What is HP Instant ink?

Basically, your printer orders your replacement ink for you, so you don’t have too. It is a monthly subscription service, it saves you up to 70% on ink and there is a range of different monthly plans available to suit your needs. The monthly plans are based on pages printed rather than ink cartridges used. Another handy part is that the delivery costs for your ink are included in your monthly fee. There is also no annual fee and you can change or cancel your plan anytime with no penalty.

When your replacement ink is delivered right to your door, you’re also supplied with a prepaid envelope to return your empty ones. Those empty cartridges are then returned & recycled, as part of the service by HP Planet partners.

What do I think of HP Instant Ink?

When I first heard of HP Instant Ink I thought the idea of it was pretty awesome. I mean, how could we not think that? My printer lets HP know that I need replacement cartridges and I don’t have to do a thing. You can even receive your replacement cartridges before the ink in your printer actually runs out. Talk about peace of mind!

This last week has been all about prepping for my soon-to-be four-year-old’s birthday party and I am doing a colouring in table for her and her friends. What preschoolers don’t like to colour in?! Especially if they need a little break from bouncing around!

We do a lot of printing in this house; with school assignments & name tracing worksheets {because I’m preparing my youngest for Primary school}. Not to mention our weekly chore charts and also my husbands University degree assignments. So the HP Instant ink service is perfect for us as a family.

You do need an eligible printer to be able to enrol for the HP Instant Ink service; the one we use in the photo above is the HP Deskjet 3720. Any further questions you may have about the HP Instant ink replacement service can be found over on the HP website.

*I was kindly sent the printer above, along with a 3-month HP Instant ink subscription for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
