End of term school gift ideas for Teachers {Free Printables!}

In the final week of my children’s school year, I forgot one vital component – gift ideas for Teachers! I don’t know why or how that slipped my mind, but it did. So I took to Pinterest {as per} for some inspiration, popped out to the shops for some bits & got to work. I found some super adorable gift ideas for my children’s teachers, so I thought I’d bundle them into a post to share with you all.

We only give gifts to our Primary school teachers and I think when they get passed P4, the ideas dissolve into Cafe Nero gift cards! But for those early years? The gift ideas you can DIY yourself are pretty darn cute.

Smart Cookie Jar

This is a super sweet idea that I came across on Pinterest and I knew it would make the perfect gift for my son’s Primary school Teachers. Each one cost £3 to put together and if you own a printer & laminator at home, well you’re onto a winner. Alternatively, you could just print a tag and skip laminating it, but I thought to do that gave the overall look quite a nice finishing touch.

I picked up the clip lock jar {that so far from what they are actually called by the way!} from a local B&M for £1.99 each and a box of Cadbury cookies for £1.  Of course, you could bake your own cookies, but this Super Busy Mum didn’t have the time for that – so these were shop bought. You can find the “Thanks to you I’m one Smart Cookie” printable tag, here. {Free Printable!}

“Thanks for helping me Grow” Plant pot

This idea {that I also found over on good old Pinterest} is the cutest & I knew it would make the perfect gift for my littlest ladies Preschool Teachers. Again, very cheap – the pots {along with the little ceramic bases} cost £5 {2 x pots & 2 x bases} from the local garden centre. Each Pepper plant cost £2.99.

As for the details, I just painted the rim of the plant pot yellow & added little markings to look like a ruler. You can download & print the “Thanks for helping me grow” tags here. {Free printable!}

Apple Pencil Jar

This was another very simple DIY Teacher Gift craft to put together. I have loads {perhaps too many!} glass mason style jars in my cupboards so I used one of those for this craft. All you need is a mason jar with a screw top lid. You can get ones that the centre of the lid comes out, or you can cut the hole yourself. I used spray on adhesive to add to the inside of the jar and sprinkled red glitter. You can paint the lid green however green was the only paint I didn’t have in our craft drawer. Typical. I then added a little string with two little apple leaves that I printed off the internet. You can find the apple leaves clipart, here. This cost me £2 to put together, {£2 for 2 packets of pencils}.

Candle Gift

This simple Candle gift was another find on Pinterest. The candle cost me £2.99 from a local B&M store and all I added was this cute “You are Scent-sational” tag and added it to the jar with a little string.
