Visiting all of Europe in a single afternoon!

Visiting all of Europe in a single afternoon!

What if I told you that you could see all of Europe’s greatest landmarks in one afternoon? You’d think I was crazy, right? During my weekend in Brussels last month, my friends and I did just that. After buying our combo ticket at the Atomium, that allowed us access into Mini-Europe just next door.

What is Mini-Europe?

Mini-Europe is a European Union theme park, of sorts. There are miniature versions of famous landmarks, castles and monuments from all of the countries in the EU. It’s quite something. On the day we visited we had such a beautiful day which really added to the atmosphere of this quaint and interesting attraction.

Being able to witness so many stunning buildings from around Europe was truly something to see. The attention to detail was unbelievable and the care that’s been taken to make sure each and every one of the landmarks was architecturally true, is quite something.

During your Mini-Europe experience, you will witness 350 models, 90 cities and 27 countries. All before dinner! Each landmark has its own sections, with authentic plants from their region and even chimes their authentic music when you press a button. Or, if you’re lucky, little parts of the models will move – which is super fun!

Each model in Mini-Europe also has a button that you can press that will sound off the countries national anthem. This was interesting and it may surprise you to how similar some are to each other and on the flip side, very different, too.

Being able to see an actual piece of the Berlin wall was unexpected – but very cool.

If you ever find yourself in Brussels, I highly recommend a visit to the Mini-Europe attraction. It’s very cool and who knew you could see all of Europe in the afternoon! Also, remember to grab a combo ticket for the Atomium as well – you’ll save a few euros!
