Easter Marshmallow treats
A little while ago, I came across this very cute & easy recipe over on Pinterest {where else?}. Easter is just around the corner and my team love to get messy in the kitchen. So getting together to make these Easter Marshmallow treats are a must-make this Easter. These sweet treats will be a hit for all the family and the kids will love helping you to make them.
They are crazy easy to make, which is music to any parents ears! They are similar to Easter rice krispie treats, but we’re just replacing the rice Krispies with marshmallows. Less crunch and more sweetness! This is a fun Easter recipe to get all the kids involved.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN EASTER MARSHMALLOW TREATS!
The ingredients you’ll need are:
Baking paper
White chocolate
Mini marshmallows
Sprinkles of choice for the top. We went with cute Easter sprinkles from Amazon
Method
I started with melting my chocolate. Even though I usually melt my chocolate in a glass bowl over a simmering pot of water, this time I must confess, I used the microwave. Mainly because my glass bowl has gone on a walkabout – yet to be found!
But I was surprised how much easier it was melting chocolate in the microwave {possibly just been converted}.
Once the chocolate was melted, we added the marshmallows. Mixing those to make sure they were well covered before pouring the mixture out onto my baking tray which was lined with baking paper.
Make sure you don’t mix for too long as the marshmallows will start to melt and we don’t want that happening!
Once I poured the chocolate and marshmallows into my parchment paper-lined baking tray. I flattened it quickly with my spatula and then added the sprinkles.
Quickly add your sprinkles and pop your tray into the freezer. Once set, take it out and leave it to come back up to room temperature.
Once at room temperature you can cut it up, whether you choose to use a cutter, or just dice it up into squares, it’s your choice. We used an Easter egg-shaped cutter for this occasion.
These Easter marshmallow treats are super easy and fun to make, so bash up a batch and Enjoy!
