Dressing up as Isadora Moon for World Book Day

Dressing up as Isadora Moon for World Book Day

World Book Day – the day some, if not all parents fear. It means either crafting together a costume of your child’s favourite book character. Or maybe you just go out and buy it because 9 times out of 10, that’s all we have time for, right?

This year, Annabelle has requested to be Isadora Moon. Have you ever heard of her? She is a little vampire fairy with a cute pink bunny friend and all written by the talented Harriet Muncaster.

World Book Day

Harriet has created a lovely selection of books, telling the story of Isadora Moon and her adventures. Whether she is having a sleepover, going to school or getting into trouble. They’re adorable books and they are Annabelle’s new love. It only seemed natural that she was going to ask to dress up as her favourite storybook fairy vampire for World Book Day. It was also pretty awesome how easy everything she needed could be found online. Sort of, all except the wings but we’re making those work.

I think she looks adorable and I cannot express how happy I am that she has finally found a book series that she adores. For my eldest daughter, it was the Maze Runner book series. For my son Jacob? It was the Diary of the Wimpy kid books.

Now for Annabelle? It is the Isadora Moon book series and with a great range to get through – she’ll be content for some time. It is an amazing thing when a child falls in love with a series of books, the characters and the stories they have to tell.

World Book Day

World Book Day is on March 5th – so you still have a little time to get sorted! George at Asda as a fabulous World Book Day costume range, so be sure to check them out! I sourced Annabelle’s Isadora Moon costume from both Amazon and eBay.

I didn’t get the time to do the stripes on Pink Rabbits ears or the stitches on his side. Mainly because there aren’t enough hours in the day which is something we can all relate too, right?
