Spirit Riding Free on POP!
Our summer holidays are quickly coming to an end – we are in our final week {& a few days} before my two Primary school children go back to school – sad times! And with the weather not being so good lately {in short, August has been an 80% washout in the weather department} we have been having a few snuggle afternoons in front of the telly. Me & my youngest especially, because, my 10yr old only watches shows ‘he’ likes *eye roll* so it’s been little Annabelle and me, looking for new shows to enjoy together.
We found a show called Spirit Riding Free – which is a show all about friendship & adventure {two of my favourite things!} and this felt like the perfect show to watch together. In fact, I wasn’t given much of a choice {truth be told} because as soon as Annabelle saw the horses, that was it. Her choice was made.
I have to admit though, the theme tune is pretty catchy – “I’m gonna ride, I’m riding free, so come along, let’s go along, come on a journey with me”. It’s super catchy! It’s such a lovely show and as well as each show has a nice moral to it, it’s so lovely to find something I can enjoy alongside my daughter.

Annabelle’s favourite horse from the show is Governor – the mischievous foal who always manages to get out of his stable! Mine, I think, has to be Spirit. I love that he is the only horse in the show without a saddle. He chooses to be with his friend, Lucky & keeps in touch with his herd too.

Annabelle and I really enjoy it and I love listening to her {when we’re not watching Spirit Riding Free} singing along to that catchy song I mentioned before. As soon as you hear it for yourself, you’ll know what I mean.
