Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza Review

Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza Review

We are a family who loves pizza. Pepperoni, Hawaiian {this is only the Husband – I don’t believe fruit & bread should be combined & cooked!}, BBQ chicken, plain old margarita! So…yeah, we love pizza. It’s such an easy dish to pop into the oven, and out comes something that can be shared and can give your taste buds a little party in your mouth. But have you ever tasted Ristorante pizza, from Dr.Oetker?

I’ll be honest, this was our first time having a Dr.Oetker Ristorante pizza and I was impressed by the range of toppings available – they have also re-released an old favourite, the Pizza Spinaci which was originally launched as a limited-edition flavour back in 2013. Some of the other flavours available include; Speciale, Funghi, Hawaii, Mozzarella, Spinaci, Pepperoni – Salame & Pollo. For our family, I chose the Pepperoni – Salame & the Hawaii pizzas for us to enjoy.

Ristorante is all about sharing that fresh Italian pizza taste, even if it’s been frozen and as a busy Mum, I love nothing more than being able to unwrap a frozen pizza and effortlessly put it into the oven to cook. It takes as little as 10-13mins to cook and before you know it, you have food in front of you. Super handy when you have a herd of hangry kids too! Which I often do!

When I took my first bite of the pizza I couldn’t help but be impressed. I think it’s quite hard to find a frozen pizza that tastes as though it’s just been made in a restaurant kitchen. The flavours were so intense and amazing and I also loved how thin the base was. I find with a thin base that you don’t get too stuffed {with that horrible sluggish feeling afterwards} – it’s the right amount of food to make you feel satisfied and happy. A true taste explosion for me – and the pepperoni – salame has now shot up to be my favourite pizza.

My husband {who had an entire Hawaii pizza to himself} said that his pizza was delicious as well. Really flavoursome and he also appreciated the thin base.

We both did say however that these pizzas are more of a date night pizza – they aren’t something for the whole family due to the cost of them, in our opinion. Each Ristorante pizza at our local Supermarket was £4 each. Which is quite expensive when trying to feed a large family like ours. However, it is true that you get what you pay for because these Ristorante Pizzas taste amazing!

Have you tasted Ristorante pizzas? I’d love to know which flavour is your favourite!
