Cordial love through the Winter months

As a busy Mum if there is anything I like to make sure that I fit into my busy day, is the fact that I drink enough fluids. It’s so easy to have the hours whizz by and to completely forget about yourself. I for one, am guilty of that on a daily basis. But through the Winter months, it’s so important to keep yourself hydrated so why not doing it with something a little more fun than just water.

We’ve always been a cordial family, my partner more than the rest of us if I’m completely honest, but adding cordial makes out daily fluid intake a little less boring and way more fun for our taste buds.
So when Robinsons sent us out a fun hamper of their ‘real fruit in every drop’ cordial, I knew I had to put a little something fun together for the family.

I decided to make a cold refreshing drink that is super simple to put together, which is always a plus when you have a troop of thirsty children!

Orange & Lemon Squash Delight!
Ingredients & Method:

Serves 4
Prep time: 5 minutes. 

Robinsons Orange ‘Real fruit in every drop’ cordial
4 slices of lemon

Step 1: Place 50ml of Robinson’s orange into 4 glasses. I used mason jars from B&M. {aren’t they lovely!}

Step 2: Full each glass up with water & add a slice of lemon into each glass. Add ice if you fancy.

Step 3: Serve up & enjoy!

Are you aware of the benefits of staying hydrated during the Winter months? For one it helps with our weight {score!}, considering all of the indulging we’ll all be doing, it’s nice to know that if we keep up our daily liquid intake that it could help us maintain a healthy weight. Not drinking enough could cause us to experience dehydration {no brainer!}, exhaustion, muscle fatigue, cramps and more. Not nice things huh? Which can all be kept away by drinking a simple glass of water/juice on a regular basis.

The kids are really enjoying the Robinsons orange & lemon squash delight and it is now asked for repeatedly, so I best go and stock up on more lemons!!
