Back to School with STABILO EasyOriginal pens

Back to School with STABILO EasyOriginal pens

Anyone with school children will know the madness that comes with making sure our children are equipped for the new school term. I have collaborated with Ryman to review a collection of fabulous stationery products from STABILO and in particular, these EasyOriginal pens.

My youngest daughter has literally just started her first week of being in Primary two and she could not have been more excited. This year for her will consist of less playtime {which I’m unsure – as yet – how she’ll feel about that} & more classroom work. Which in turn means, more handwriting will be involved.

Annabelle’s handwriting is OK, for her age. We have worked so hard over the summer to improve it because…it’s a little on the BIG side and fingertip spacing isn’t even on her radar yet. Her pencil control is very good and even though, in school, her year doesn’t write with pens – I think using the EasyOriginal Pens {even at home} will help her improve her handwriting capabilities.

These EasyOriginal pens have a very cool ergonomic design and they are also refillable. Win! Another neat factor about the EasyOriginal pens is that they are usable whether your child is left handed or right handed. Annabelle is in-between hands right now – she changes hands often, so who knows. I am ambidextrous – so she may be just like me or she’ll finally pick a hand she feels is more comfortable to write with. My son, Jacob is a little lefty, so he will love writing with these pens in school.

My eldest daughter has gone back to school this week too and now that she is in Year 10, GCSE’s are creeping in. She is already being asked to consider what GCSE subjects she would like to take on this year {which has her a little anxious} but she is willing to take on whatever she can.

Aside from choosing subjects to study at GCSE level this year, she will also be revising for her Winter exams. Which is crazy considering they have only just gone back to school – schools don’t mess about, do they? So having her kitted out with these STABILO BOSS ORIGINAL pastel highlighter set, which is a huge help when it comes to studying & revising.

I live for highlighter pens {Confession? I still do!} and my daughter is no different. Highlighters, in my book, are a must-have back to school essential!

Sure, you have the standard neon highlighters, which we all know & love. However, the latest ones to hit the shelves {and our hearts} are these pastel coloured highlighters. Stabilo also has this Swing Cool Pastel wallet – these are classed as ‘pocket highlighter’ because they come with a handy clip that is perfect for hanging them on your blazer pocket. These 8 packs are exclusive to Ryman but other stores will have smaller packs in stock.

Another cool feature about these highlighter pens is they have an anti-dry-out 4hr protection – which is something I have never seen on a highlighter pen before.

Which version of highlighter is your favourite?

Lastly, my teenager was sent this STABILO point 88 Fineliners Pack of 20 – which is perfect for her and not only because I am 90% sure she will choose to do art at GCSE level – but because who doesn’t need a nifty selection of fineliner pens in their life!

These pens are also perfect underlining important topics {we’re on the GCSE train, remember!} or to sketch – which is something my daughter does a lot, at home!

So, my kids are well stocked for going back to school to tackle their handwriting, whether they be left or right handed – YAY for handwriting pens! They have highlighters to ‘highlight’ those important points of interest {for exams etc, etc} and those fineliner pens that I am sure I will be borrowing from my daughter from time to time {I’m a doodler, too!}.

These products are all pretty great, so if you still need any back to school items, pop on over to Ryman’s Website and check out their Back to School range

Disclosure: I was kindly sent the above products in return for an honest review. All thoughts, photos & opinions are entirely my own
