AD | Online ASDA Photo Service Review

If you have been following me for a while now, then you’ll know that I love my photos. Whether they are framed and mounted on my walls or in a photo book. I love getting them {finally} off the old CD’s and SD cards and into an album where they can be enjoyed. I still have a way to go before all of the photos on my digital drives are in an album. But one book at a time, right? Especially since I have quite literally thousands of photos stashed away on flash drives. I have collaborated once again with the lovely team at ASDA Photo to share with you my thoughts on their online ASDA Photo service and the other products they sell on their website.

Did you know that you can now order your prints from ASDA Photo online? I know we’ve been able to get them from instore for a while now, but buying them online from ASDA is still relatively new. And it’s so simple to do! If you have never used the ASDA Photo service before, like lots of online photo services, it has a simple upload, drag & drop process. You can choose your products, layouts, colours etc.

With ASDA photo you can do so many things. You can make souvenirs and keepsakes of your travels and family memories. From framed prints, photo books and even just simple photo prints. Not leaving out the more personalised gifts such as photo mugs, canvas prints, photo jigsaws and so much more.

My most recent order from ASDA photo, was another one of their Photobooks because I am obsessed with photobooks. Plus, ASDA Photo have so many different styles of Photobook that I like to try them all out to see which one I favour the most.

ASDA Photobook Review

For this review collaboration, I chose the 8″ x 11″ Hardcover Portrait Photo Book with Layflat binding. The lay-flat binding option is by far the best style I have had. There is no curving of the images as the pages travel to the spine if your book. Everything is flat, no image distortions which is a bonus. Every part of your photos is visible.

With previous ASDA Photo reviews, I have mentioned that even though the drag & drop method to make your creations are simple enough to use. It still lacks in a few things. I love taking photos and maybe this is just the creator side of my brain talking, but the templates available are very limited.

The same applies to the layout for your photos, I found this to be quite limited too. These are the only two issues I have with the software you have to use.

But as for the quality of the overall product? Really impressive. The quality of your images really come through and the colours are amazing and you can see they use premium ink in their production process. The 20 page 8″ x 11″ Hardcover Portrait Photo Book with Layflat binding that I got, will cost you £32 including a £4 P&P charge.

This year has been one hell of a year! Photos equal memories and I think photo-based gifts are such an important gift option to consider this year. Make a calendar for the Grandparents, or a mug for your favourite Auntie! Create a keyring for a sister or goofy cushion for your pain in the butt Brother! Better still?
