Tooth fairies and treasure {Ordinary Moments}

Tooth fairies and treasure {Ordinary Moments}

I shared a post a few weeks ago about Annabelle having her first wobbly tooth. I’m sure you can guess by the title of this post that tooth did in fact, come out.

She came running up to me on the evening of Saturday 29th June proudly holding the tiniest tooth I think I have ever seen. She was smiling like a Cheshire Cat, proudly showing off her toothy gap.

It won’t be a gap for long because the only reason her first tooth came out was that her ‘grown-up’ tooth was already cutting behind it. Clearly, her body was getting impatient with her being a late teether {which all my kids were!}. So she already has a big grown-up tooth taking its place and looking at her made me realise that this was it…

…Losing that first tooth was the beginnings of her smile changing forever. That adorable little smile, with the smallest, yet cutest little straight teeth has begun to evolve. I’m not quite ready for it to be official that my final child is now waving goodbye to her baby days. But this isn’t something I have control over, so I’m just going to have to {albeit, reluctantly} roll with it.

Ordinary Moments

So, as my fifth and final child grows up faster than I can handle, I will say this. Ever since that tooth came out? She hasn’t stopped smiling and it makes me roar with laughter every time. Any excuse to smile so she can show off that little toothy gap! To the lady in the shop, to the cat, to anyone who will look at her toothy gap and recognise the greatness of this moment.

She’s just so funny and so incredibly chuffed that she lost her first tooth. It’s the cutest thing. She was even stoked about the Tooth Fairies Treasure she received the following morning. I think £5 coins {gold coins to Annabelle} is a good going rate for losing your first tooth. Which wen swiftly into her money box for going on her summer holiday next week – that’s my girl!

So, this was our Ordinary Moment this week, any tooth fairies in your day?
