SuperZings – Rivals of Kaboom collectables | Review

Blind bags and mystery boxes make my kids so happy – whatever their age! My four-year-old goes nuts over them and my almost 13 yr old loves them too. So the age limit is varied! It’s just that excitement, isn’t it? The feeling of giddiness because even though you have a fair idea of what’s inside, you have no idea which one you have inside! SuperZings – Rivals of Kaboom are the latest collectables to hit the shelves and I have to say – they’re pretty cool!

SuperZings Collectables

My youngest daughter, Annabelle loves collecting this kind of toy and she also loves superheroes! So straight away, I knew the SuperZings were going to be a hit with my daughter. The SuperZings where released just this month and they are based on lots of different day to day things with a superhero vs villain vibe! Such as a watering can, a cheese grater, a juicer. There is even a paintbrush, popcorn & there is even a TV! However, they all have one thing in common, they have superhero {or villian} capes & masks!

There are 80 SuperZings, in total to collect and among those you might be lucky to find the different coloured characters, the silver, the uncommon, the gold, the rare & the enigma or the super rare! So many cool characters to find. With 80 to collect we could not wait to start opening the amazing bundle we were sent, which included the following:

  • 10 x blind bags
  • 5 x hideouts
  • 3 x supercars
  • 1 Starter pack
  • 1 x Blister pack

Just to make the SuperZings range even cooler, they have hideouts & supercars available to collect too! I love that they have done this because instead of just having the little figure to play with, you can have so much more imaginative play with your collectables.

The SuperZings are similar to Zomlings and they are very easy on the purse strings too. However, I would say they are perfect little treats for the children to spend their pocket money on! The blind bags are just 80p each {which is the cheapest I have ever seen a blind bag!}. The hideouts are £1.50, the Supercars are £2.50, the starter pack is £5 & the Blister pack will cost you £7. There are even Kaboom Traps & Mission packs available too.

SuperZings are aimed at children aged 4yrs & up and they are available at the following stores;

  • Asda
  • The Entertainer
  • Spar
  • Co-op
  • Tesco
  • And many more…

My kids keep on going on about these, they are all different ages 5, 10 and nearly 13 so it’s good to see a toy that can be so versatile for them all to get interactive in x

I really cannot get on board with blind bags and collectables, I have issues perhaps from disappointing lego minfigures. As a parent I just feel like it is getting us to buy more and more to placate sad children as opposed to collecting and knowing which one you are going to get.

It is interesting that you ave the opposite take that the unknown is the real thrill certainly something I had not considered

Oh I saw these the other day for the first time. They are a bit young for my kids now but they do love the blind bag craze, squishes are their thing at the moment and it is hard as they can end up costing a bomb. These bling bags are amazing value at 80p though, that is great! Mich x

I saw these on your Instagram! They look really cool. There’s something so exciting about collectibles, even if you’re an adult. I still love finding me a good old shiny Pokemon card.

These are so adorable and I”m sure that if I introduced them to my girls, they would want them instantly and start collecting them.
