DIY Sofia the First Party Decoration Inspiration

It was about halfway through 2014. When I decided on Annabelles 2nd birthday party theme. I know! It was planning things 7 months in advance but what can I say. But I knew throwing her a Sofia the first themed party was a must. 

After the success of her Peacock themed party and after watching her love for Sofia the First blossom I knew what her theme would be. Exactly that,  a Sofia the First party. It was perfect & filled with such pretty colours too! Pinks and purples with a little sparkle thrown in for good measure. Perfection.

Last week I shared what DIY projects I had in line to make for her party and this post is to share just that…what I’ve made so far! Everything I’ve used I’ve picked up from my local Craftworld & with the joy that is Pinterest, have blended the two into one little collection of awesome!

My first project was to make some table decorations and I picked up a cardboard 2 which I thought would be brilliant. Of course, it was made more fabulous by covering it in glitter, making it sparkle & shimmer.

The next thing I planned to make was a tutu for the cake stand & when I saw this one over on Pinterest I knew I had to give it a go.

It turned out so much better than I thought it would and finally I put together this adorable little table decoration.

I just bought a base with a pole from Craftworld, some lilac netting and printed out a photo of Sofia. There was nothing to it other than cutting off Sofia at the waist {Sorry Sofia!} and glueing some netting on until I was happy with it. Voila.
