Cherishing moments with a Rosemood photo book

Looking back at my own childhood, I have a small collection of photos. I have quite a few with my Dad but only a handful with my Mum…But for my kids? I don’t want them to have a small {photographic} documentation of their childhood. I want them to have an abundance of photographic memories to look back on. Now I can, thanks to Rosemood photo book.

Confession time? My collection of photos is obscene. I knew at some point I needed to get them into an album – or several albums!

Obsessed with taking photos!

A few months ago I started to get photos printed off to place into a photo album. I even wrote on the back of the photo, like “Annabelle at 3 mths” or “Rhys’s Sports day!” and the year {and month if I could remember!}. Just to give the kids {when they look back on them in years to come} more of a finer detail on the memory I captured. 

As well as photo albums I love a photo book – they are so easy to make and because of all of those photos we have stored online {or on CD’s & flash drives, like me!} they can be easily uploaded!

Storing family memories with Rosemood

I have collaborated with the lovely people at Rosemood and I have put together the most gorgeous softcover photo book filled with memories from as far back as twenty years ago! When my own parenting journey began.

The website is so easy to navigate, I was able to upload my photos with ease and in no time at all, I had a photo book made to order. I loved that there was the ability to change the effect on my photos or change the layout entirely.

There is also an option to zoom in {or out} as well as add text {if that’s your thing!}. The whole process allows you to get your photo book looking just how you’d like it. 

So what did I think?

My first impression of the photobook was how sturdy it felt. You can tell straight off the bat that it was made with high-quality materials. Photo books like this are made to last for decades. To be looked at over & over. Memories reminisced and so on. You can really feel the love and care that has gone into creating these photo books. 

I absolutely love the magazine-style front cover {you can change the layout of this to suit your own taste} but I think it’s such a different style – and I love it. 

Family, to me, means everything {and then some} and to have all of those hidden memories now filling the pages of this gorgeous photo book is just everything to me. The service from Rosemood was amazing. Such a smooth process from start to finish. 

Some photos go back as far as 20 years! 

As I mentioned earlier in the post, I have photos within these pages going back almost twenty years. 

They were taken on disposable cameras or cameras that required film. So the quality of those images isn’t great, especially when you make them larger. I did my best to achieve the best quality for the images I had from way back when. There are just some images you cannot leave out, you know? But I especially loved that Rosemood even checked in with me to make sure I was OK with the quality. 

The vibrancy and the colours in my album make me giddy and that may be a really dorky thing to say. But it’s true. 

Along with the bright and enticing look of my album, I really did squeeze in as many photos as possible. I loved that there were so many layout options. Giving me complete control on how I designed my photobook. I also appreciated how easy it was to add as many pages as you like to your photo book, too. 

I locked in so many photos throughout my album. So many memories that had been hidden away in cyberspace for the guts of 20yrs and now having them in one place for me to gush over anytime I want? Words cannot even describe.

I think I am now going to have to make an annual photo book of our family & adventures because I think it’s the only way I can keep on top of them all. I can take hundreds of photos every month! 

Watching my gang flick through the pages, remembering that day out or that special day – while laughing or gushing is so lovely. Putting any photo album or photo book that I put together is for them. For them to be able to look back on whenever they like and just enjoy reliving those memories.

They may think my ever-growing collection of photo albums and photobooks is insane, but they will understand why I did it one day. 

So from flying kites for the first time, or capturing their first Christmas. To their first steps, smiles and general kid-related antics. Don’t get me wrong, I have thousands of other photos that need putting into photo books and I will get around to that, but this is a pretty perfect start! 

I will be sure to use Rosemood for my future albums because the amount of love, care & attention that goes into creating these books is clear to see. The customer service was next to none and the high-quality of the books are beautiful.

They also create beautiful stationery for a new baby, weddings, birthdays and Christenings and now photo books for all occasions. 

I cannot recommend Rosemood for their service and beautiful products, enough.
