Recipe – Chocolate Pinwheels

Welcome back to my second recipe in 2016! Woohoo! Last week I shared a simple & delicious puff pastry pizza recipe {just in case you missed it} and this week I’m sharing a recipe for Chocolate Pinwheels. Yum!

These are a perfect last minute dessert to rustle up in a hurry and they taste amazing both warm and cold! Just in case you have a preference 😉 Personally, I love anything with chocolate warm {if I can help it} and these fresh from the oven were a true delight.

What you need:

– Puff pastry {either already made or make your own – you can find a recipe for puff pastry here}
– Chocolate spread {I used Cadbury’s – yum!}– Icing sugar for dusting once they’re out of the oven.

Method:

– Preheat your oven to 190 degrees C.
– Unfold your pastry sheet and spread it with your chocolate of choice. Leaving a gap at the edges.

– Roll up the dough as tightly as you can.

– If your dough feels too soft, pop it into the fridge for 15-20mins to harden a little {it makes it easier to cut} before cutting it into sections 1/2in thick.

– Place on a baking sheet and pop them into the oven for 15mins or until golden brown.

– The only thing left to do is enjoy! Leave to cool for a few minutes though as that chocolate inside will be hot! Just in case you have some impatient little ones!

A super quick, super tasty dessert treat – granted, a little messy with the puff pastry but sure, that’s part of the fun, right?

What have you made lately? I’d love to know in the comments below and a link to it if you have one!

    Totally in awe of those that can bake. I might give these a try as I now have a massive craving for Cadburys chocolate spread! These look so good.

    Chocolate pinwheels! Yum, so good! That looks like the perfect snack when I’m pulling an all-nighter for my online store.
