Pink & Teen Parcel Review

Being a Mother of a daughter I am forever concerned {& anxious!} for her as she grows up and eventually reaches certain milestones that we know and loathe so well. The dreaded ‘time of the month’: Periods!

My daughter is coming 10 this year and I know from this moment she could step into the realm of womanhood at anytime. When her time will be is unknown, but I for one would like to be prepared and in turn, prepare her for it also.

So when I was asked to review Pink & Teen Parcels I was keen to see what they were like. You’re probably wondering what exactly Pink & Teen parcels are so let me tell you. Pink {For you} & Teen {for your girl} parcels are basically tailored subscriptions boxes delivered to your door for when your due your monthly cycle, and it’s like a little pamper box to make you smile.

Once they arrived I was pretty keen to see what was inside and I was pretty amazed at everything that was packed in and how useful everything was.

I really liked how they had a supply of tampons {you do have the option to choose towels and also the choice of lite, regular, super and so on depending on your flow rate} and a cute, discreet little pouch to carry them around in your bag. You’re supplied with enough to see you through your cycle and I love this addition in this box as I am forever running out mid-cycle and me being me I never buy things for myself so having this on subscription would be such a big help.

When I saw the ‘for you’ box I got a little bit excited as us Mums rarely get treated, and it could be a bun from the bakery and you’d have a smile from ear to ear, so to open my box to find all of this…

I felt spoiled!

There was a gorgeous L’Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza {RRP £9.99} which I’m unsure if I will ever wear {as I’m not a big make up person} however I do think I’ll use it at some point as it is something I would consider. There was also a wash-off St Tropez Instant glow face lotion {RRP £13} which I am excited to use, as again its totally something I would use.

I think the PR company that sent these out knew exactly what a tired Mama bear needed {plus when it’s my ‘time of the month’ alongside anemia I look like a cast extra of the walking dead}, so when I saw the camouflage kit cream concealer palette {RRP £2.65} I was super chuffed. Not to mention the sight of a pack of sugar free mints, a cheeky wee chocolate bar and a Pukka womankind teabag of organic cranberry, rose and sweet vanilla!

This box is wonderful, a real pick me up feel to it as our monthly cycles can be so draining, especially when we are running around after our children. So being able to be looked after by something as simple as a box filled with products delivered to your door? In my eyes is fabulous! It costs just £5.95 for your first box and then £9.95 thereafter. I say take my money!

Next up was Ellies Teen parcel…

Ellie was pretty excited to see what she would get in her box and even though she was a little ‘OMG’ at the tampons inside she looked at me with fear as if to say “That has to be put IN me?” haha, bless her. Once I told her that she could opt for towels she looked less terrified.

How cute is her little polka dot pouch! Nice & discreet again & perfect for a teenage girl.

Ellie received a Clean & Clear Advantage spot control kit {RRP £12.99} which at 9 she’s no need for however she will be passing this onto her two teenage brothers who would make use out of it. Joys of puberty!
Now, my daughter is forever reminding me that isn’t a girly girl,
however give her some nail varnish and she crumbles under the girly weight as she enjoys having her nails done as much as the next girl. So she loved the Binky ‘Purple Haze’ glitter nail varnish {RRP £4.99} that was in her box.
She also received a very sweet little bow bracelet, a bag of haribo and a chocolate flake teabag which she wasn’t long making for herself and loved it! Again, all for just £5.95 for the first box & £9.95 thereafter.

When I was first contacted about these boxes I thought it was a genius idea, and now seeing them in person and everything supplied to you I think they are even MORE fabulous. My daughter thinks they are pretty great too!
Considering items in both boxes added up to more than your subscription cost says it all. I love the attention to detail and also they take your monthly due date into consideration and make sure your next box is with you for your date coming round.

It is without a doubt something I will subscribe myself too, and also my daughter when her moment from girly days to womanhood arrives. If you’d like to know more about Pink & Teen parcels, pop over to their website for more information.
