Getting a great night sleep with Silentnight

Getting a great night sleep with Silentnight

During the colder months of the year, our little old terraced home gets cold – very cold! The seals around our windows aren’t great and our house seems to release any build of heat it makes throughout the day. So during the coldest months of the year, we stock up on cosy socks, fluffy jammies and light plenty of candles around the home to produce a little extra heat once the heating gets switched off.

However, it’s putting the children to bed that would always leave me a little worrisome. Would they be warm enough in their cosy socks & fluffy jammies? I know their bedrooms would be warm at bedtime, but given our home’s inability to retain heat, come midnight, the cold would settle in. And being the worrisome Mum that I am would forever be popping in and out of the children’s bedrooms each night to pull their duvets back over their shoulders – it appears I make bedtime wrigglers!

Silentnight kindly got in touch and offered the children the opportunity to test out their Winter bedding duvets. They were sent out a SilentnightDeep Sleep 7.5 tog duvet each and as soon as they arrived, the children couldn’t wait to have them on their beds.

These deep sleep duvets are generously filled with soft spring-like non-allergenic hollowfibre that provides extra comfort & warmth – the kids instantly confirmed this as they didn’t waste any time at all getting themselves snuggled in.

One issue we’ve had with previous duvets is the inner filling would always get messed about and need readjusting – which was a massive annoyance on my part. So when I saw that the Silentnight duvet came with channel stitching which keeps the filling neatly spaced and doesn’t require reshaping it was a huge bonus for me!

The duvets are comfy, can be snuggled into and have done nothing but keep my children warm & cosy in their beds on these cold nights.

The children highly recommend these duvets – in fact, to give you more of a visual, once they got under their new winter duvets, it was hard to get them back out! So I think all we need to do now is for the Husband & I to invest in a double version of the Silentnight Deep Sleep duvet for ourselves.

Disclosure: I was kindly gifted these duvets for the purpose of this review. All thoughts, photos and opinions are entirely my own.
