AD | Meaningful Home Crafts: Family Collage Edition

There are some memories that are just for the keeping – your wedding day, your baby’s first birthday, graduation ceremonies – the list goes on and on. And while our minds and hearts are the perfect places to store them, a little visual help never hurt anybody. Creating your family collage at home has never been easier, and with PosterMyWall you can create the collage of your dreams.
Come, I’ll show you how…
Templates
To start off your family collage you’ll need to pick a template. Head on over to PosterMyWall’s website and browse their range of family collage templates until you find one that resonates with you – with so many to choose from I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for.
Pictures
Now comes the hard part – deciding what pictures you want to include from the thousands of memories you have. Once you’ve made the tough decision, start by removing existing pictures from the template you’ve chosen by clicking on the ‘delete image’ option under ‘edit image’ once you select a picture.

With a blank template before you, you can now focus on arranging your family collage’s pictures. Simply click on the photo button in the menu and select ‘add from my photos’ to upload images from your device.
And of course, you can always choose to add pictures from your Facebook account. Just select the ‘add from Facebook’ option and log in to your account. Once there. Browse through your photo albums and choose the pictures you desire, locking them in by clicking on the ‘add photos’ button appearing on your screen.
Editing
With your pictures up, it’s now time for some editing. You can do the basics such as positioning and resizing them by using the drag buttons. Or you can choose to be more precise by selecting the position tab from the menu after which you’ll be redirected to a variety of positioning styles including flipping the photo, stretching it, placing it behind or in front of other elements, and creating copies of it.

Of course, there’s editing beyond positioning and resizing, and you can always choose to touch up your images. Crop pictures to bring greater emphasis on the subject. Simply click on ‘edit image’ and ‘crop’, continuing to either crop the photo freestyle or selecting one of the preset options, clicking on the crop option to finalize your choice.
You can even remove backgrounds completely with the masking feature. Head onto ‘edit image’ and ‘mask’ before creating a dotted line to select the are that you want removed, clicking on the ‘mask’ button once done.
Show Time
With your family collage complete all that’s left to do now is to save your masterpiece by selecting the namesake option from the top menu bar. Choose from one of PosterMyWalls’ free (comes with a watermark) or paid (ranges from $2.99 to $7.99) download options and you’re all set for displaying.
Happy collaging!
