5 reasons to visit Mallorca!

I think it’s fair to say, when you’ve had the kind of Winter that we’ve had {and still going through at the moment}, that we’re totally within our rights to dream about the sun kissing our skin, blue skies and sandy beaches {along with a few cocktails in our hands too!}.

So, with blue skies and paddling in the ocean in my mind, I decided to put together 5 reasons to visit Mallorca. I’ve personally never been to this part of the world but after a little research online, she sure looks beautiful.

Beaches & Coves.

If dipping your toes into crystal blue waters without hearing the hustle and bustle of a busy city, with the sun beating down on your from above – if that isn’t enough to entice you to visit Mallorca then perhaps this photo might tempt you…

You can see yourself on a blanket, parasol overhead, cocktail in hand…am I right?

Reason number two…

Culinary delights.

According to a few sources of mine, Mallorcan food is meant to be some of the best in the world. I have never been that adventurous with food, but I went to the trouble of making that something to remedy as I think it was time I stopped being such a coward and learn to embrace new taste sensations.

Palma de Mallorca.

Palma De Mallorca is considered the heart of the island and holds true historical value to the country. You can visit the Church of Sant Miquel, the Palma Cathedral, visit the Plaza Mayor and taste a delightful array of seafood along the way.

Or, you could take a sailing boat excursion from the docks around the Balearic seas for an afternoon of sunbathing, food, music, great company and swimming.

The History.

I have never been much of a sun worshipper, but I wouldn’t say no to an hour here and there with a good book and a mojito! However, more often than not I’m the adventure buff when on holiday.

I love to explore and Mallorca has bucket loads of history to wade through.

It’s Romantic!

Mallorca is classed as one of the most romantic places for the couples to visit, it’s also the ultimate honeymoon destination for newlyweds.

As a soon-to-be Bride myself, I think we’re seriously considering having our own honeymoon in Palma de Mallorca!

So those are my 5 reasons to visit Mallorca. Have you ever been? What part of the island did you visit whilst there?
