The quaint town of Vic-Sur-Aisne, France.

The quaint town of Vic-Sur-Aisne, France.

During our recent holiday in Berny-Riviera, France with Eurocamp. We rented bikes for the whole family and went on an adventure. During the planning stages of our French family holiday, I came across somewhere we had to visit. The beautiful town of Vic-Sur-Aisne. And low and behold, it wasn’t far from our resort and it was more beautiful in person, that’s for sure.

The town was so lovely and….well….french! It had a true old French feel to it and I loved it. It felt very relaxed and there was a patisserie everywhere we turned.

How gorgeous is this antique looking doorbell!

I thought these were a little creepy when I first saw them, but I then realised that they were little holders for when your shutters are open.

We saw these quirky little characters which were placed on the zebra crossings just outside a cute little school. This was the girl one, and there was a little boy one across the road.

Seeing things like this make me full of sadness. No matter what country has a war against whoever, innocent people like this losing their lives is sad. I love what they have done with the windows of this building. Keeping the memories of previous inhabitants alive within its walls.

As you can see I had a little obsession with doors on this trip.

Vic-Sur-Aisne is such a gorgeous town and we loved hiring out the bikes in the Eurocamp parc and enjoying a little cycle. These two loved the trailer rides too…

Because we had to go on the roads to get to the town, Jacob had to sit next to Annabelle and I think he secretly enjoyed being taken rather than having to ride himself.

We had such a gorgeous day in this little part of France. What a treat to be able to jump on the bikes and cycle happily and safely down the streets. And even enjoy a pastry or three in this quaint little town.

  • Self and family been visiting Vic-our-Aisne & Berny Rivirer for over thirty years on and off, and due back this coming April. Beautiful area with plenty to see and do. As well as eateries on the camp site, the local restaurants are worth a visit including Chez MNichelle, where Diddier the owner will look after you. A Great place central for visits to the larger city’s around.

  • Just got back from there last night! It is so wonderful and we fell in love with the whole area. Our son is a courier at Eurocamp, so we had a 10 day visit!

  • Oh lovely captures, and how awesome does that trailer ride look! 🙂
    Thanks for hosting xx

  • Lovely town. It looks like you all had such a fantastic time in France (lucky you!). These pictures are stunning and truly capture the beauty of the town. I’ve always wanted to go and explore there as well, and these pictures alone make me want to go even more. Thank you for sharing, Debs! Hoping you and your family are having a wonderful week.

  • What an absolutely gorgeous town. I love places like this, so quaint but packed full of history! 🙂 #MMWBH
