Saving money with Lynas Food Outlet – Review

As a parent to a large family, feeding them can sometimes be a real strain on the bank balance – even more so when my children seem to be on a permanent growth spurt because they never seem to stop eating! However, to help me balance my food budget better and to see if I could save a penny or three, I was kindly invited along to the newly opened Lynas Food Outlet in Belfast to have my own little walk around the store and a shopping experience too.

In my usual places to shop I have been bouncing from one store to the other, trying to find ways of getting what I need for everyone, at a great price. The price of food is constantly rising and in some cases, you’re now getting less for your money – however my eyes were well and truly opened as I walked around the Lynas Food Outlet.

This place, if I’m honest, I had never heard about before I was approached and even though it’s a little far from where I live {a good 12+ miles}, after my experience it is certainly a place I would make the trip out to again.

Inside the store was impressively large, and since I had never been in that type of store before I was very surprised at the amount of different produce and products that they sold.

They not only stock well-known brands but they also stock their own brands too and whilst you buy in bulk you are saving so much money by the time you get the till. The idea of saving money to feed my family for longer is a big plus in my eyes, so my shopping experience at Lynas Food store was a pretty exciting one. That may even sound lame to some folk, but knowing there is a place where you can feed your family for longer, for less money….well, it’s a no brainer really.

If I am completely honest with you, I thought food stores like this were mainly just open to businesses, such as hotels B&B’s, restaurants and more. So to hear that this sort of place that sells everything from cleaning equipment, fridge and freezer food and endless amounts of food for your cupboard is pretty amazing.

As a busy Mum I like to plan my weekly meals so you can imagine my delight as I walked round the store finding products that would help me achieve my meal planning goals at a fraction of the price.

Keep an eye out for a few dishes that I will be sharing with you guys {soon!} of what I’ve made from my amazing shopping experience at the Lynas Food Outlet in Belfast. Thanks so much for having me guys!

This place looks really interesting, a bit like a Bookers but for the general public. How much do you reckon you would save by doing your weekly food shop here compared to your normal supermarket?
