My Sunday Photo #3

The other week {and allowing me to snap this week Sunday photo} the darling man and I had a one-child-weekend, meaning we just had little Miss Belle to entertain – so we took her off to the Winter Wonderland held at the Titanic Exhibition centre here in Belfast. We loved being able to have 100% of the focus on her, because when they’re altogether things can get, well, a little nuts. One child has to wait because they’re not old enough for one ride while the older two have to wait because they’re too old to go on another ride and so on. You can see where it gets tricky.

Which is why on this occasion, on this day, it was so lovely to spoil our youngest with having 100% Mummy & Daddy time.

At the Winter Wonderland, she honest to goodness didn’t know what to do with herself. There was just so much to see, do, touch, chase after and ride on that I think she was close to bursting. But the one ride that caught her heart was a giant toddler-friendly Choo choo train rollercoaster. Every train loving child’s dreams – in this case, Annabelles!

I think I clocked…..7 times in a row that she went on this particular ride and I was more than happy to watch because her little face of glee, excitement and wonder was just marvellous. I even managed to capture this sweet little mid-conversation moment between Daddy & Daughter before they took off on another ride around the tracks. Choo! Choo!

Gorgeous photo. It is such a rare treat to get one-on-one time with one of the kids. Last year my husband and I actually went on holiday with only our daughter! It was amazing. (The boys were on Scout camp in Holland, so they didn’t mind!)

Well done for capturing this. It is so very hard to catch such a moment on one of these rides. I like how you turned it into black and white – it gives that extra intensity to the photo of the moment.

I think black and white photo’s adds so much more to a great photo.
You’ve captured that special moment beautifully.

Oh this is just a beautiful shot and the backstory makes it even more touching. Putting it in monochrome gives it a timeless feeling, adding depth to this moment. Having a 1-child-day weekend, it allows some quality time which every now and again is invaluable!
