My first Britmums Live Experience!

Wow…what can I say about my Britmums live experience that many, many other bloggers haven’t mentioned in their posts already! I had another post all written up, loads of photos and all about my time there…but it was far, far too long and the last thing I wanted was for my beautiful readers to get bored and move on. So I figured I’d do my post a little different…

Britmums Live

Was this your first Britmums Live experience?
Yes! And in truth? I wasn’t nervous until I saw a wave of other bloggers in the one place. By that point, my tummy dropped and I started to feel like a tiny fish in a very, very big pond.

What classes did you make on the Friday? I made it to one class on Friday. The one session that I was not going to miss in a million years. “How to make your blog gorgeous” by the beautiful and talented Lucy Heath. Her room was packed out. Pretty confetti filled balloons on the tables and even a tissue pom draped over her pedestal. So Lucy! And I never stopped jotting down her advice & tips throughout her entire session.

Was Saturday a little easier? Yes! So much easier and I loved how the Saturday was more focused on the sessions and learning, as Friday was a little ‘meh’ on the learning front and that was my main focus for being there. So I loved getting my teeth into as many sessions as I could make. I also loved being able to mingle in with the brands a little more too.

Any regrets overall? I’ll admit, I was a little bummed that I had to pick the one class I could make out of four, that would’ve been the most beneficial to me. When in actual fact I could of happily attended more. Would’ve liked more classes spread out over the two days, personally, but I got to the ones ‘this year’ that I thought would teach me the most.

The food wasn’t exactly my cup of tea…the little nibbles that were offered? I’m from N.Ireland…us hearty food raised people need substance, and those did not float my boat in the slightest. They did look pretty though! Although personally I would have loved wee sandwiches {triangles, not squares}, cocktail sausages, sausage rolls….a classic British finger food bonanza! Maybe next year? 😉

I didn’t get to take as many photos with other bloggers as I’d hoped. Got a little nervous and thought people would think I was a little weird, saying hello and then slipping into the convo “Say cheeessee” and ‘click’! haha. Maybe next year I’ll have more courage!

Highlights overall? Getting to meet so many bloggers that I have been chatting with online for the passed year. Such as Lucie, James, Kate, Emma G, Jade, Hayley & Emma K and of course my bestie Amy. I also loved seeing other bloggers that I’ve met before when at events or blogger meets, such as Donna & the wee N.I crew Vicki, Emma, Rebecca, and so many more.

The Morrisons room! Beautifully laid out, constant replenishment of food laid out on every picnic style table, even cakes! Loved it.

I also got a little blog-star struck when the lovely Katie from Mummy Daddy Me came up to me to say hello and even gave me a hug! When your a newbie blogger, it’s a bit OMG when an established blogger knows who you are, haha.

Learning!! I loved being able to soak up as much new blogging related knowledge as I did. I took endless amounts of notes and came away with an ability to further my little blog and carry her through her next chapter.

So I think that’s my round up of what I thought following my first Britmums Experience. It was a whirlwind of actual madness and I really did love every minute. A MASSIVE thanks again to my wonderful sponsor Crawlerz Romperz – Having your support whilst there was fabulous.

Now…roll on Britmums live 2015!!

Ooh yes, good traditional tea party food would be brilliant . rather than posh stuff (although I did quite like the lunch, when it arrived!)

I always think of you as really confident, so surprised you weren’t there taking pics of everyone. I feel exactly the same, and had only one ‘people’ photo from the weekend. Next year, I vow the same to get pics with everyone!
