My choice for the British Takeaway Awards with

I was approached recently and asked to share a blog post about the takeaway that will get my vote in this year’s British Takeaway awards, in association with just eat, and my favourite local takeaway is….

*drum roll*…

The New Century Chinese in Newtownabbey.

This Chinese takeaway has been on the same corner, on the same street since I was a child. Now, Northern Ireland being who she is and having the history that she has, sadly the previous New Century premises was burnt down in some July 12th troubles. A decade or so passed before the new premises was built and the New Century once again stood proud all shiny and new. I admire that and the new place looks better than ever.

The menu is also great and covers everything from a huge range of Chinese dishes, European choices and a wide range of appetisers and side dishes. The portions you get are so generous and anytime I order a chicken fried rice it does me for two days. Amazing!

Do you know a great takeaway restaurant that you love and proud to call your local? If so,  vote for them before October 6th 2016 and when the voting closes you can be in with a chance to win £1,000 or 1 of 100 £25 JUST EAT vouchers. Also, if you cannot decide between your favourite Indian, Chinese or Pizza place, don’t worry because you can vote once for each cuisine.

What’s your top choice takeaway food for a Saturday night?

Disclosure: This is in collaboration with the British Takeaway Awards in association with JUST EAT.

They certainly do! I think the New Century has always been a place where the food has never faltered.
