Life lately…{in photos}

Life lately has been pretty crazy. This last month especially has gone by in a haze of family gatherings, tears, laughter, family meals and sadly, a funeral. It’s been a very difficult & emotional few weeks and everything is only just now feeling slightly back to normal. But then again normal is good.

Aside from the sadness, the last month has brought, we’ve had stunning sunshine, for like…weeks! That’s usually completely unheard of here in Northern Ireland. Do you know how much laundry a Mum can get out on her clothesline on sunny days! So I wasn’t going to complain. 😉

So what have we been up to this last month? Well…gosh, where do I even start? I flew over to London in the middle of May and I had the pleasure of meeting Jo Frost, Supernanny herself to talk about bedtime routines and the #BathBookBed approach alongside the Book Trust & Tots100.

I entered a Dreams of Dubai blogger competition with Tots100 & @VisitDubai – this was a super fun post to put together, but the winner {in case I have missed it} is yet to be announced. How exciting!

The kids and I flew over to London {again!} for a really fun Skylanders blogger event, with Activision. We all had a crazy time during the event and it was lots of fun. After the event we paid a visit {at the kids request} to the National History Museum and also the beautiful sensational butterfly exhibition which is just next to the museum.

I shared my Siblings project post for May, completely missed our Me and Mine for May due to the family loss, but I have a great one ready in the ranks to share at the end of June for you guys! We celebrated not one but two birthdays in the last month. I turned 36 {omg!} and my daughter Ellie turned eleven. Eleven!! You can check out the latest post I shared of her picnic party at Belfast Zoo. It was loads of fun.

I think that’s us all up to date, so here are a few more photos I shared on Instagram this last month if you care for a look.

This photo I took when I was in Dublin for the evening. A bit of a last minute road trip to see Sarah Millican. If you haven’t seen her on stage yet, try to do so when she’s in your area because she was fantastic.

Ellie looks so grown up in her dress gifted to her from GANT recently. A full review will be live on the blog very soon.

We’re in the middle of finally {after almost 6yrs of living in this house} to sorting out our back garden. It’s a big job, but we’re all chipping in and hopefully come next summer we’ll be able to fully appreciate it.

I turned 36 this month and my family thought they were being funny with the candles!

Annabelle got some new shoes this month. I wish this kid would stop growing! But in truth, sadly the little canvas pumps I bought her from George at Asda didn’t hold up too well after only being 6wks old. So, we went to Schuh kids in Belfast and bought these super adorable Sketchers twinkle toes. Annabelle calls them her “pre-pre” {pretty} shoes.

We were recently sent out a gorgeous collection of framed prints from Desenio – a full review will be on the blog soon.

I think that’s everything…it’s been a crazy month! Let’s hope the next month is a little less crazy!

    I absolutely love that Panda print! I spotted it in the photo of your daughter and wondered where it was from so I guess I got my answer

    Looks like you have had a fabulous time, apart from the obvious. Good luck with your garden xx
