It’s no surprise, that I love to organise my children’s birthday parties. Recently, I shared a post here on the blog about planning my daughters 13th Harry Potter Birthday party and today? I’m sharing how to make your own Harry Potter Birthday invitations! With the help of the Harry Potter birthday invitation template, I will share in this blog post!Β

They were super simple to make and throughout this post, I’ll share with you where I found the templates I used for both the ticket and the envelope. As well as sharing where I found the extra bits to make the invitations magical.Β

First of all, as I’ve mentioned many times before, I absolutely love a good themed birthday party. I always get far too excited and invest so much of myself into making them come to life. I never even think about having all of these party props sitting in my attic {after the party!}. But now and again they come in handy and I can just pop up, grab what I need and make any birthday celebration that little bit more fun. I mean, you know an inflatable microphone and a tinsel wig are amazing for any get-together! {These were leftovers from our Wedding day!}.Β

However, these creative birthday invitations {as I said} were simple to make and this is how you can make them too here’s what you’ll need;

The Hogwarts express ticket template has room on it to add whose party it is and then on the blank side, you can add the where & when details. I used Canva to do this and the Harry Potter font is pretty cool, too.Β

After I added the information to my ticket invitations, I printed them out on my HP Deskjet 3700. Next, I cut them all out and laminated them all. Followed by cutting around each ticket to make them look as authentic as possible.Β

For the envelopes, I made them ever so slightly larger on Canva then printed them off. I then cut them out and folded them accordingly.Β

The next part was the most exciting part – or at least, I thought so anyway! Once I got the seal wax stamp, I used it that day {because I’m just that impatient!} and obviously to see if it worked OK. News flash – it worked amazingly well! Hence, why I was so excited to be stamping the finished invitations. And it was such a fun thing to finally get around to doing!Β

I think the seal wax stamp gives the invitations a real touch of magic to them, don’t you think? It’s certainly not something you see every day and that’s what I {& my daughter} love about them.Β The only things I needed to buy to make these was the stamp kit because I always have laminating sheets at home anyway. So making these was really, really easy and as you can see, they turned out pretty well.Β

Now that the harry potter party invitations are made and put aside for handing out, as well as the Cornish Pixie Lantern {if you haven’t seen that, do pop over for a look!}. I now have a few other bits to make and put together for party day. So I’d best hop to it.Β
