Drop slides, Sleepovers & turning sixteen – #LittleLoves

What.a.week. Whoa…. has it been this crazy for everyone else? It’s been a busy one {understatement} and with it being so busy it’s times like that, that make me wish I drove. As it would make my life so much less complicated.

This last week has seen us celebrate a belated sleepover party for my little Jacob, who turned seven a few weeks ago. It’s seen us celebrate my eldest son turning sixteen with laser tag, family meals and even braving the drop slide at our local Clip’n’Climb.

11944834_853742054711287_261300940_nDue to Ellie being ten she’ll be one of the last ones on the list {out of 11 children}. So because we’ve to be there for 0740hrs, I think it’s going to be a long day all round. I’m just hoping her surgery time isn’t to late or she’ll have to stay over and I don’t know how I’ll cope with that nevermind her!

However, before I waffle on {it’s an Irish thing!} here’s this weeks #LittleLoves.

Holiday brochures about getting married abroad. It’s something we’re seriously considering because we’ve been faced with a few dilemmas that we’ve been unable to meet in the middle with. Sadly. The joys of being from ‘both’ sides and not wanting to offend anyone by doing it in a building that flags one flag, or flies another. One of the small prices to pay by living in N.Ireland.
11937918_853741968044629_1468424277_nIt’s actually quite impressive how much cheaper it seems to be to marry abroad too! So we’re excited about the possibility of getting wed somewhere hot with scenaries to die for, and then throwing a party for all of the family & friends when we got home.

Re-runs. This is such a frustrating time of year, as all of my shows are all on their ‘breaks’. Which personally I don’t think they should be allowed because it is plain and utter torture waiting for the new seasons coming out! Wouldn’t you agree?

I also watched my sons and their friends do the super fun {and scarily high} drop slide at our local Clip’n’Climb. My eldest turned sixteen this week and I was excited for him to peek out of his shell for a little ballsy adventure – and I was so proud when both my boys joined in! {Like most teenagers they can be quite anti-social and repellent of anything fun!}.

A sleeping child. The joys of her turning her back on her pushchair and her deciding that falling asleep on the bus on the way home from town was a great idea. My poor back all I can say to that!

I heard a song a few weeks back from a new artist called Nathan Grisdale. I’d never heard of him before but his song “Mum” was just the most beautiful song I’d heard in a long, long time. It was my repeat song for ages. Then going through his videos one day I came across this song called Say Something which is collaborated with the talented Zoe Allison for: it’s a beauty of a song.

I also heard the girls {and one boy!} for the sleepover last weekend. Jacob was the first one to sleep {as always} but man, girls can TALK can’t they! Wow….almost midnight before they all wound down. I blame the bean boozle challenge they did and possibly the box of japanese candy didn’t help much either, lol!

My child giggle. I know we’re meant to put a craft/bake related thing here but I have not had the time this week, or this month come to think of it. But making my kids laugh is way better than cake, right?

What a week! So much in just 7 days!
That drop slide is awesome, they don’t have anything like that near us.
You’re so brave doing sleepover parties, I’ve said mine can’t have them until they are 10! Such a mean mummy! Haha
    Enjoy the weekend xx

wows look at that slide!! I would not be brave enough i know that much!!
Best of luck with the tonsils opp! I had mine done when i was 4 – only remember being given copious amounts of ice cream so it couldn’t have been that bad. Hopefully the wait will be the worst part. #MMWBH

Yes!! Who oh why did I not learn to drive before having children! What a week indeed. Your daughter looks adorable! #MMWBH

Haha! My thoughts exactly! Things would be SO MUCH easier if we drove. Sure, we’d need a space wagon {haha!} but at least we could just hop in and drive off! One day! x
