Colour Me Wellies Review

Living in Northern Ireland, we’re not shy of a bit of rainfall. In fact, it’s a pretty common thing here so when I was asked if I’d like to review a pair of Colour Me Wellies, I had to say yes. I had seen these in other reviews and thought the idea & concept was pretty cool, so I was keen to see what my children & I thought of them too.

First of all. How pretty is the box! So bright & inviting isn’t it. I do love a pretty box! Now, Colour Me Wellies are from El Rhey Kids, a company based in Bournemouth, UK and they love boosting creativity in children so much that they came up with this idea of giving little artists a job to do on and for rainy days. Neat idea huh?

They only have two designs {currently}, which is a zebra and moth designs but I hear on the grapevine that there are a lot of other exciting NEW designs to be added to their range. So I’ll be excited to see those once they’re released. They are also only available in sizes 11 to 1 at the moment, my youngest son is a size 12, so he was lucky enough to get a pair to design & review.

You get three coloured pens in with the set, which both the kids & myself would’ve liked to have seen more choices of colours available. But the colours supplied where lovely shades and something out of the norm which is something I usually favour. However, seen as this gift set was for my son I couldn’t see him being too fussed about using peach!

Turns out though, my son wasn’t too keen at all on the colours OR the design – Whoops! However, luck would have it, on the day these arrived my friend’s little girl fell in LOVE with them and she just so happened to be a size 12 too!

She LOVED the idea of being able to colour in your own wellies, and she also really loved the Moth design too. Whereas my son is more of a Pokemon/TMNT fan!

So these Colour me Wellies got to go to a great home in the arms of a very happy little girl. The Wellies are made from natural rubber and when they were tried on I was told “These are SUPER comfy!” so for me as a parent, that’s a huge plus!

Aside from wanting to see lots more exciting designs and extra colours available, maybe being able to choose the colours we’d prefer through the order process, they’re a pretty great product. The Colour Me Gift Pack will cost you £25, and the Carry pack will cost you £20.

You can find more about Colour Me Wellies over on their Website, Facebook & Twitter.

What a great idea….These look like a lot of fun.
I’m not too sure on the design though x

Yeah the designs in my opinion are a little tricky for children. But hopefully more fun and easier designs will be coming soon! x

What a fab idea! Probably even better if you’ll get not designs to choose from, and more colours too. Maybe even a blank canvas boots too for free scribbling 🙂
